what do you think is the reason Church Of Your Heart is on TPH even it was not a hit?

I think it found its place on “The Pop Hits” because it was perceived by the band as slightly different (and daring) as a single. They probably wanted to show Roxette’s uptempo singles could also be country influenced and not always power pop catchy 3 minutes numbers...

The reason why COYH is on The Pop Hits even though it wasn’t a hit? I thought it was a hit? LOL. It was bigger than say, “Real Sugar,” wasn’t it?

In comparison to other single releases by Roxette, COYH was not a big flop in the USA. It reached #36 on the Hot 100 - their last Top 40 single in the USA. Not a major hit, but a medium one, nonetheless. In fact, I remember a local AC station spinning this one a lot (childhood memories) and was one of the reasons I bought “Joyride.” ;)

for me as well it is one of the all time best songs! So, a hit or not it will always have a special place in my heart :)

Guess it just is because it was a single. Although that really doesn’t fit the concept as Fireworks and She Doesn’t Live Here Anymore was cut.
