some remixes better than the original?

Is it possible that a remix sounds better than an original?
I take a hint at the TyroneKnight remixes, wich I downloaded from roxbytes today.
O.N. extd. mix, seems to me very “retroalike” I love it, because the original was anyways to short.
So what you think?

I’ve always prefered original versions, only in the case of “Stars” the remixes are as good as the original.

Hmm. Original is always the best in quality. Maybe I´m happy about new versions from anyway good Songs. Sometimes it´s like a 2nd part of a good work.

“When I wanted to download I got this message “Authentication required”.. where to get it?.... help please...

Never mind.. already downloaded it.. crap as useual :-(

Stars remixes are better than the HAND version...
Cooper closer to god version is better too than the HAND version...

Some people liked the Jesus Jones remix of Fireworks, better than the CBB version.

Real Sugar is an obvious example. Not that I am particularly fond of it, but *if* you try to do something (i.e. sounding ’trendy’) you should go the whole way.

I really like these TyroneKnight mixes. I think they are great. Especially when you consider that these fan-remixes are made using the CD-versions of songs, so those who are making it do not have access to different parts of the song (I mean, like the vocals without instruments, etc.), unlike professional remixers, hired by Roxette.

If you wanna listen to something good, get the Roxette Gigamix 2003. It’s really really well done!

Well PietROxette, anyone should suggest Per Gessle for hire Tyrone Knight for Roxette Remixes.
He´s pretty fit and talented. :-))

Hej

Usually I don’t like remixes cause they’re all about repeting noises and verses with nothing new like making the backing vocals higher or stuff like this.

One cool thing to do is get an mp3 file of your favorite song and remove vocals with “Gold Wave” program... I did it today with “Vilket Håll Du Än Går” and it was REALLY cool, I heard so many new sounds and vocals hidden on the back... and Per singing “har kommer alltid att vara dar” is so much cutter in the backing vocals than in the lead vocals.

But one remix is cooler than the original version : It’s “Crazy About You”, better than CBB version.

All the best

I listen to the “electric dance remix” of Spending My Time more often than the original. It’s so good.

i love the electric dance remix of SMT as well, and the instrumental is great too. Very nineties, but great!

The Stars remixes are controversial I guess, because they´re very technical. Roxette made with it a big step to the Eurodance scene.
But where’s the acoustic remix of stars? That where great! Just like the life-balad version!
And the Electricdance remix of Spending my time is good, but never better than the original.

There are to many remixes of STARS.
Tyrone Knight made a professional work.
Took a nice voice in the OPPORTUNITY NOX intro.
Even BREATHE sounds more warm with the piano.
It´s no big difference to the original, but this is better than a remix witch destroys a Song. I like it!

does anybody knows, who made the remix of Almost unreal?
What appears on the “Sweet as a nut” release or on Pearls of roxette.

The Look -Visible Mix- is my favorite
version of The Look, it’s really something.

See me -remix its AMAZING even if its “fan made” also TCOTH yoga mix its really good
