No, it’s not official but these guys produce some very good stuff for us all.

RoxService is my *favourite* fansite - well, equal 1st with TDR ;-) - but I sometimes worry that those bootlegs are going a bit far... If you’re making a bootleg, it should be made clear that it isn’t an official release.
As an ABBA fan, I know that Universal Music (who own ABBA’s recordings) understand the need for fanmade albums, but insist that such releases should not make any claims of being official. Quite simply, it means that company logos should not be used.

Come on! If you find it in the “Bootlegs” section, I think it’s evident it is a... Bootleg!
I don’t think the Capitol logo is a problem, that an other make the cd’s more... cd’s. Labels can’t complain, this can’t cause them problems (from my point of view).
Marcus uses a lot of his time to deliver to us high quality cd’s booklet/inlay, today it’s easier to have bootlegs thanks to people like Marcus or Pietro at Roxbytes. I can’t forget how hard it was for me to have Super Swedes and Blond Dreams... Now you just download!
So we should just thank peolple like them!
Thanks Marcus, thanks Pietro.

Apart from the obvious “Bootleg” headline, “åminnelse” (commemoration) is a Swedish word that isn’t commonly used, besides the fact that it means that Marie is dead...

Just visited the site and got a pop-up.. with info about the latest releases and a link saying “buy online”, that takes you to Repeat Records, the biggest RoxFanRipper ever! and still, being promoted like this... Or do you get 50% discount at the shop? ;)

Still no confirmation news

Anyone heard smth?
P.S. Oh, yeah, forgot to mention - one big fan also said there is a demo/live “Flowers In The Sky” by Marie and Morten for real.
P.P.S. Judith, since when you’re a moderator???? ;)

I’m not talking about the website. I’m suggesting that if the CD was ever placed in front of the average record buyer, there would be no way for them to tell if it’s an official release or not: There is nothing specifying that this a bootleg on the actual CD.
That’s where companies like Capitol draw a line: When people are presenting bootlegs as being official releases.

well well well... what a discussion... first of all, I’d like to note that re. prices I’m not always charmed by Repeat Records myself either... however, they have the somewhat largest collection offered for sale on-line that I know off... apart from Wonderland and Robert Thorselius at eBay... but thanx for the comments... will change the link for buying stuff... directing it to a list of various record dealers linking to their websites- email-adresses. Re. the bootleg thing... I actually made these things available to avoid that any fans get ripped off for such rare unofficial records by some dealers and am not selling any CD’s at record fares, shops and such... But hey, should ANYone have any visions or better ideas (also re. the logo), please mail them to me ([email protected]) and perhaps even some improvements can result from it. Why not make such things available as ’limited edition’ CD’s for members of the fc - in cooperation with EMI - like in the 1980s ’För dina bruna ögons skull’ was released by Gyllene Tider... as such music will probably not be compiled ever commercially due to expected poor sales.

@Thomas: re. Tid för åminnelse... give me a title that fits better into the Swedish dictionary!?
marcusvandeursen said on July 2, 2003 23:07:
Time to remember (as: remember these songs of hers that should better not be forgotten, although they aren’t commercially available anymore, while making the title fit together with such songs of her as ’tid för tystnad’ and ’tid för försoning’... perhaps ’tid för upplevning’ or ’tid för påminnelse’ is better?! what would you suggest, thomas?

Keep up the good work Marcus.

P.S. I’ll have TAT Rip for you at the end of the week and some new scans.

Oj, hard one... my not-so-great suggestion is “Tid för erinran”. This is slightly better than åminnelse, but still has no flow. “Tid för...” is also rather uncommonly used. :) Good luck!

Ummmmmmmmmm I see what you mean?? it certainly looks official with the capitol logo, I don’t own it myself, in fact till you pointed it out I had not seen it before.
