I HATE that idea. It’s just so complicated and stupid! A very stupid way to make people buy the same thing twice. (And it works, duh!)
Can you imagine, we couldn’t order the Pop Hits Limited CD from the EMI catalogue at the EMI-licensee here (yeah, we have no local EMI-branch), because it was a “limited” CD?!??!!... I still don’t get *WHY*?...

Well, I was just in London, and all I saw were the regular 1 disc versions of TPH, none with the bonus EP. I like them, yes, but sometimes you have to be lucky, and know where to research. I read ICE magazine, and they inform me of new releases, imports, limited editions, etc, so I know exactly what to look for and when.
On a related note, I used to have the t.A.T.u. US version of their CD, but sold it as I needed money, and I figured hey, I can buy it later, anytime I want. Sooooo, on Monday, I was at the airport, ready to fly back home and had extra cash to spend, to get rid of my pounds, cuz of the horrible exchange rate back to US dollars. Soooo, I hit the HMV in Heathrow, and what did I see?? The new DELUXE EDITION (probably limited), of t.A.T.u.’s CD, “200 km/h in the wrong lane”!!! It now has a bonus DVD with videos and a 25-minute documentary “Julia + Lena are t.A.T.u.”, as well as 2 bonus tracks, “Malchik Gay” (Remix), and the song they performed at Eurovision Riga 2003, “Ne Ver’, Ne Bojsia”, as well as a cool, sexy, 2-sided poster!!!!!!!! In this case, I am lucky, but if I still had the US one, I woulda bought the new version and sold the old one. Sometimes, stuff like this happens, and you lose money to get a better version, what can you do?? There are limited DVDs as well....

The reason why there was only the regular version of Pop Hits in London is cause...thats all we got here ;)
Anything else found is an import, same thing happend with TBH.
As for ltd editions becoming available after regular album sales.....no wonder ppls download more music these days! I wouldn’t wanna pay full whack for virtualy the same cd twice!

Exactly.
Hope record companies learn the lesson.
