Inter racial relationships

Hi guys, I am doing an article on interracial relationships...and I need some input from you.

I’d like to know the social response in your country to people of different backgrounds getting together...do people stop to look at you in the street? is it something unthinkable? etc

also if you are/were in one, I would be glad to know what you went thru if possible. I don’t need specific details, but things like parents’, friends’ reactions etc.

Thanks!!!

Someone with mediterranean background (Latin, not latin-american... but European) and someone with germanic background is different enough for your study?

just going through a dutch and english relationship is enough i felt that i was never realy accepted into the family (she should have married a good dutch man )get the picture .but i have no regrets and i love it here in Holland

yeah that’s the kind of stuff i need.

thank you! and you can write me further at
[email protected]

HarrieJ, Thanks for your input. But what does the Surinamese community think about it? when I told someone here I had a dutch bf, they raised their eyebrows and said “*really*??”
