Swedish Midsummer in NYC!!

OK.. this is the big one...our other parties during the year are great but none bigger than Midsummer!
Midsummer is a special time for many a Swede. Midsummer is not only an
ancient pagan festival marking the summer solstice. The solstice being the
date when the day is the longest and the night is the shortest. It is
special now too in modern times! Swedes are so sun starved during the winter
months that we really appreciate the summer. Who doesn’t like the summer?
However Sweden and Swedish people shift so drastically between the seasons.
Not only does the environment change but the collective mentality of the
Swedish people makes a drastic change for the better. It only makes sense to
welcome summer in a huge and festive way!
It is time to officially announce the Swedish Midsummer! We are now in “The
Final Countdown” to the big day!
Friday, June 20th 2003
The day starts at Battery park with traditional festivities around a
maypole.

My last 4 events have been sell outs. As well as last years midsummer party Some of you missed out. Show some support for the Swedish music and the Swedish party scene! This is the one people will be talking about for the entire summer!
