Roxette in Swedish

I hear all you guys talking about the other band of Per and the solo albums of Marie. But they are in Swedish, and I have actually never bought any of these things. I wonder if they are any good. I mean, should I really get the Swedish music they make, isn’t it kinda strange when you hear them singing in Swedish? I really want to know, cause maybe I should get their Swedish material after all.

Recently, I’ve listened Rickie Lee sung by Marie only. Wah, it’s so great! Better than she sang this song with Per in “scener”.
Since I live in China, I haven’t bought any of their Swedish Albums.
It’s still luck, I nearly downloaded all Per and Marie solo songs. But it’s hard to find Gyllene Tider’s songs. I just got a few songs. What a pity!
In their solo, I think
Gyllene Tider did best, Marie did better than Per.

you have to hear. I think that you would like Gyllene Tider a lot. I´m from Spain, i don´t understand the lyrics in Swedish but it´s not necesary at all. The music transmit you everything. MArie is more quiet, more relaxing, her vice sounds great in her own languagge, it´s great to her “Den Ständiga resan” albun and feel her mood in her music, feel how she felt in that time, it´s incredible, fantastic. Moreover, after hear the songs again and again you can sing them as it was so normal, and actualy you don´t understad anything! heheheh i love the swedish languagge.
Gyllene Tider is more happy, and funny music, more easy pop, great too.
You have to get all their solo albums for sure.

You don’t know what you are missing... GT are the best.... I have to be honest I tend to listen more to Gyllene Tider than Roxette! (Ummmm sorry!!)
Marie’s is excellent as a solo artist... I would invest in “Antilgen: Best of Marie Fredriksson” for a top notch quality listening experience!!
I have been listening to both there solo stuff since 1992 and at first could not understand a word but once you know what they are singing about it’s excellent!!
Best experience.... Marie/Per or GT really loud from the car when your driving!!

Well, I don’t own any of Marie’s solo stuff, Per’s solo box set, or any GT (unless you count SDLHA + JA to be GT, which in a way it is), as it’s all hard to get in the US, but I want it all, even though I don’t understand the Swedish language. See, for me, it doesn’t matter, as long as the music is great!! I focus on music + production over the lyrics anyway, so it doesn’t bother me that I can’t understand it, as long as the overall music sounds great in my ears. I know GT will be great, as they are masterful powerpop, and I hear from many people they are better than Roxette, and I am not surprised!!

i really like marie’s solo stuff in swedish... den standiga resan and i en tid som var are realy realy cool and the fact that it is in Swedish doesn’t bother me at all... I have to admit that i do not listen to her older cd’s and hate everything from per in swedish... (except the newer GT songs...) I bought everything i could get though...
