They used to be popular in Spain, but after CBB tour everybody thinks they split up. Is Roxette popular anywhere?

I think they are still very popular in some South American countries. In South Africa there are some regional radiostations who play Roxette almost daily, but the no 1 station there hardly ever give them a spin.
Here in the US people don’t even know ’bout them:(

Roxette is not overly popular in Canada simply because no one knows they still exist - such a shame...

I don’t know, but I think Roxette’s music is so different from the music in countries like Morocco or Argelia. But they do know western bands as well there, so why not?

When I was living in Egypt in ’95, CBB was in all of the stores. And you could still find posters from the Joyride-era in shops all over Cairo...

Here people don’t know Roxette! You gotta sing Joyride or The Look for them to know what you are talking about. It’s like you know the song but not the band kind of deal. Sad sad sad!

I know Roxette is very famous in Iran, very famous. The reason could be the fact that people don’t have much to do so all they do is listen to non-iranian music, take care of their hair, clothes and …

They do exist....... but we in the UK are the same.... when people ask “oh you like ROXETTE?” when I say Yes!! they usually reply “I thought they had split!!”
