should marie wear a wig?
tavo said on May 12, 2003 11:35:
i know that this may sound stupid since it is marie´s health that matters, not her appearance. but still, don´t you think she should wear a wig? i remember her in the june afternoon video and she looked great. why not?
rox-kuryliw said on May 12, 2003 12:17:
NO WAY !, its a stupid world where say in america, women with short hair are said not to be as attractive as women with long hair. look at all the famous teen pop people, all women long hair , and men, all short hair. personally i find women with short spiky blond hair nice. i think rule dosent matter in europe . i may be wrong, but thats what i think ?

NOPE!
the ONLY hairdo’s that dont fit her are longer than 5 cm :P~
harriej said on May 12, 2003 21:01:
Whatever Marie prefers, she should feel comfartable with (or without) it!
DaminehGessle said on May 12, 2003 21:14:
Na bald is not good. She needs a little bit of hair i guess. 1.5cm maybe?
infofarmer said on May 12, 2003 21:28:
Surely it’s up to her, but don’t you think she was super-cute on those PoP covers (wearing really long hair, dunno if that was a wig)?! I love that look of her!!!
hotblooder said on May 13, 2003 09:57:
Maybe this could be good idea. Shoot the video when she was bold...!! And this could boe the only one Rox video where Marie in a bold hair.

It is so GOD DAMN IRRITATING to see that - again - there are a couple of people who simply just looove to look down on people who make topics like these.. You know, with their “people are just idiots”- attitude.
I think she could wear a wig - don’t know if it really suited her, thouh... A hat like she had at the king’s place is better. But she’s just fine as she is, in my opinion.
xuxa said on May 13, 2003 14:59:
She’s great like she is now! if she feels herself confortable like that (and I think she is. just look her smile!), that’s the most important.
tania said on May 13, 2003 19:26:
no.its up to her and cant you guys think about anything better to talk about Marie looks just fine for she is the “look”
kachina008 said on May 13, 2003 20:13:
she still looks great with or without hair. she is one of those lucky ppl who look good either way. :)
DaminehGessle said on May 13, 2003 22:49:
Stop being prejudice.
I don’t get people who hammer others down because they think she doesn’t look fine when she is bold. Well the person who started this thread doesn’t think Marie’s look suits her the best these days so he/she brought up the idea for MArie to wear a wig. What is wrong with that???
I love Per and Marie but I am realistic and when I don’t like something about them, I say it. I don’t go around saying oh Marie looks fine with no hair or Per is fine thin or they are good as they are. We are all people and so are they. They have bad hair days as well. Couldn’t they have a bad hair day??? Should we always think of them as these 2 goodlooking stars that are always perfect?? Damn!! I love them but I ain’t stupid and prejudice about them. I used to scream at people when they said Per and Marie were ugly but right now I don’t make any comments cause we CAN think differently.
Ferdan said on May 14, 2003 13:57:
doctors don’t recommend the use of wigs in this kind of case... so stop it.
DaminehGessle said on May 14, 2003 15:55:
Ferdan really? I didn’t know that. What is the scientific fact behind it? Chemicals or what?
NickNL74 said on May 14, 2003 23:24:
No, definately not! :-)
I think it’s best she would give her head some rest so that new hair can grow. And to all who want to see here with an wig or something like that, she oughtta show them the finger!! :-))
Also I would really like to see her with natural unbleeched hair.. always kinda wondered what that might look like .. haven’t you?
Ferdan said on May 14, 2003 23:32:
someone close in my family had chem therapy for a few months... the nurse, the dr. and the psycologist, all of them had a word about the hair...
the psycological reason
the bald in this kind of chem is a sign that you’re struggling with the illness, that you’re fighting to it... you have to get proud about it, and not feel bad about it.... ’cos if you feel bad about your bald, then you feel bad about your illness...
and with this kind of illness that is the last thing you want to happen!
and after all, that there’s more important things to focus your ’strenght’ than just falling hair...
it’s complex to explain here.
the medical
the head has to “breath”, new hair will grown... and from what i´ve seen personally.... it grows much better than before..... so if you don’t let it to breath, it’s bad for it.
and the nurse said....
“if you can’t deal with it after all, you can use a ºbandanaº, but not more”
But I think all of that is just common sense, something lacking around here.

Well said, Ferdan! :-)
I think Marie once said that she liked wearing wigs around the house, but this was a few years ago, before the Big C happened, of course.
Should Marie wear a wig? It’s not really up to us to decide and none of our business. It’s almost like asking a woman who had a mastectomy when she’ll get fitted for a prosthesis and “look normal” again.
LittleSpooky said on May 15, 2003 03:58:
It’s up to her. But if my opinion were to count for anything (which it doesn’t):
I think she looks just fine right now. The pic on TDR’s front page shows me a healthy woman who looks real good, who fought a disease and WON. Alas, I also know that this isn’t the way the game gets played always. Diseases like Cancer DON’T play fair. They have a bad habit of sneaking back up on you when you least expect it.
However, Ms. Fredriksson and her family are in my prayers every night that they continue to enjoy her good health and that she’s around for many years to come.
