As i was going through difficulties as a teenager the music of roxette was an inspiration to me.A girl called Lisa Sutheran(now married)introduced to me the Look Sharp album in 1989.I will never forget her for that turning point in my life!!!!!

Well maybe!! I probably haven’t come across an act that is as perfect to the style I like best, POWERPOP, before Per and Roxette, besides Cheap Trick!! I’ve been loyal since 1989, and really, being loyal, I’ve noticed how crappy American music is compared to Per/Rox records. They don’t understand real powerpop, and market everything to death, that it’s not about the music anymore here. Basically, pretty much everything here is ruined even before leaving the starting gate!! I can always depend on Per to write the next perfect powerpop jewel, and never be let down. I’ve also realized how awesome the Scandinavian music scene is, and inspired my craving to visit that part of the world.
OH and lastly, I’ve made some lovely new friends here, and some people here opened up my eyes about the war, the other side, so I’m grateful to be awoken from this propaganda, yet we could be in the right, now, we shall see. Bush may have been a visionary. Anyhoo, I am very grateful for everything....cuz of Per and Roxette. I’ve met Per 3 times, and Marie twice as well.

@Santi
Depressed by Roxette songs??!! Really??!!!
How come?? I cannot believe that Rox songs can make you depressed!
it’s something new. For me Roxette is always a good medicine for life problems and moments when I’m down. It’s healing my soul in bad moments, but I cannot imagine that Rox music can depress anybody!
And yea Rox music have changed my life. Through all these year I didn’t think much about it, but now looking back I can see that there were a lot of positive changes in my life boecouse of Rox music. It’ s really positive thing in my life, like nothing else, and I’m really glad that I have it, that Rox music became part of my ilfe over ten years ago :)

I have to say Roxette changed my life. Thanx to their music my days are always shining, I found some very good friends and I had the opportunity to spent 3 wonderful years in beautiful country called Sweden. Probably my life would be totally different without Roxette. Thanx Per, Marie and everybody you have and had around for being here for us - FANS.

yeah, but mine is opposite to Santi.
I used to get really upset easily, and hated myself, life and everyone around me. But when I got back into rox, everything suddenly came up. I dunno why or how, but I haven’t been sad or depressed since. Everything just has a meaning now and if I don’t like it I either change it, or ignore it. It’s just so much easier to be me. I am so glad I found roxette again, and the people that come with them. You guys are the best.

No for me it is the other way around.... when I am depressed (usually after a really shit day at work!) I put Roxette on really loud and 20 minutes later I am great!
Also I always have Roxette on my MD player for going to work as it cheers me up knowing what a crap day I have ahead!

its the other things that changes my life or not.
gyllene_tjej said on April 16, 2003 21:04:
yes they did change my life for better. Thanks to per and Marie I found my friends, my love and inspiration as well as a reason to live my life the way I do.
Gellner said on April 16, 2003 21:15:
Yes they have. There’s been times in my life I don’t know if I would have managed without them. Music can give you so much strenght and heal your scars. Because of my love to Per and Marie and the wish to somehow understand what music is all about I decided for myself to work with music. I’m now working in the music industry and let me tell you it is different to what you think it’s like.... but always, even if I wonder if it’s a good job and why I am doing it I remember how my life would have been without Roxettes records and I feel it’s right what I’m doing as long as any of our artists gives the same to others as Roxette gave to me....
harriej said on April 16, 2003 21:35:
Yes, it has become part of my life. I have met people because of Roxette and they have influenced my music choice.
Jackie_Radiorox said on April 21, 2003 07:04:
Yes, hearing some of their psychotic fan stories makes me think twice about starting a music career. :P
No, seriously... I’ve had some rough times in life, and music has pulled me through.
Also, I did a few music class, psychology class projects and have used Roxette/MF/PG songs, and haven’t gotten less than an A+ for it! :D
For one of my music classes we had to tell a story only by music. So I used all Rox songs and really had a trip.
So ummm.. thanks for the music! :D

I became depressed because of Roxette songs. It was a relief I found other bands happier (among them GT) and now I’m just fine :)
