Confirmed: Rox-documentary out in 2004

My Roxette documentary “roxette 20.06 - Roxette’s 20th anniversary (1986-2006)” will be officially released on DVD/VHS under some independent seal (small one too, since it was all I could afford) on 2004 (around September).
I know Roxette started on 1986. But...I can’t wait.
I sent it to some Mexican TV channel looking for they to broadcast it, so...we’ll see.
I hope you stay tuned to see it.
Oh...please, spare me the negative comments, would ya?
; )
Cheers.

Sounds great... Although if the documentary is based around “20 years of Roxette”, should you not wait until we reach the 20th year, before releasing it? A lot can happen in 2 years (from ’04 to ’06), and these next few years will be even more unpredictable, what with Marie’s illness and recovery.

Also... You sent it to the TV companies already? If they want to play it during Roxette’s 20th anniversary, they’ll have to wait 2 years after it’s DVD release... And they rarely play anything if it’s already been available on DVD for 2 years...

Maybe I needed to explain (again) what’s the project about.
Since 1986 people from all around has followed Rox, right?
Ok, they sent me some footage: TV appareances, radio interviews, bizarre phone calls trying to find Per...and so on.
I combined it with some guys (myself included) with their videocameras following Roxette around the globe as they tour, promote or just visit their countries. The videocamera serves as a companion to this guys explaining what Roxette means to them in that particular moment.
Example: Roxette came to Mexico in 1992. You can see me in “20.06” as I stand outside their 2nd concert explaining chart positions, funny incidents as they stayed in Mexico for a couple of days more...
See the point?
The breaking heart moment is a female fan standing close to Marie’s home in 2002, crying her eyes out and giving a beautiful swedish prayer.
These are the moments you don’t see in the “joyride” documentary or “really roxette”: the FAN side of the story.
By the way: I’m aware that the cronological sequence of a film is: threatical release, DVD, PPV, optional cable TV and regular TV.
But...how about direct-to-cable releases?
You need to learn a little bit more on film.
And nobody beats me on that one...trust me.
The project is real.
And as I said on some other forums: Those negative comments push you further away from ever seeing the film.
I’m mad now.
Cheers.

Just curious: did you get permision from the different TV and radio stations for the snippets you used? Otherwise you might get in big trouble!
(PS: I’m only asking this because I don’t want to look forward to something and then find out it won’t come true!)

Sounds really great!
Is it going to be free or what will it cost?
Really intresting what you are doing because my DVD-project will be finished this or next week. It’s called “Roxette - The Live Collection”. It includes all the world tours and the Room Service Tour. There is also some live shows and TV-performances! And Much more, like audio galleries and music videos both from TBH, TPH and TWATG!

Extraordinary, mate!!!
Looks like this is going to be a DVD year.
Ah, questions:
Trailer: Yea, there is a trailer, but I’m not sure about it, looks...corny. Maybe I’ll just send it to...you know.
Copyright: There are no songs on this DVD, not official, anyway. The radio stations don’t mind about 10 or 15 seconds of an interview, besides, you don’t see/listen the actual interview, you see someone LISTENING to the interview at home. Nice way to evade copyright, huh? There are some songs but rare and...rare. Like Rox singing a capella The Look at some restaurant.
It’s nuts.
Free or $: well, yea, the DVD will have a cost, but I guess I can upload some clips for free...but password protected. We’ll see.
Thanx to you all.
I’m happy.
: D
Rox on.
And please, watch X2 on May 1st-2nd.
It’s a worldwide release.
Hugs and kisses to you all.

Sounds great - I cannot wait to see it. I wish I knew how to do something like that - makes my job seem so dull. Good luck.

Is it for real? What material do you use? Collected TV footage? Hmm, sounds a bit unrealistic to be a professional project, hope I’m wrong!
