hey all
dunno if this has been discussed at all... but if u compare look sharp album 2 the room service album maries voice does sound a bit diff..
i think she sings much better on LS... much more power in her voice an higher notes.. unless its just the songs wich r better... i mean listen 2 how she sings on dance away... u can hear she is singin with all her heart....i luv it how she sounds on that song..
what u all think u prefer how she is singing now?

i like LS singing.. cus she sounds so free singing the songs... like she is havin lots fun ;)

they only put a wrong arrangement on the songs.

Yes Madonna is a pretty bad performer. So are many other artists. Why do you think Elton John is so great?? Cause he is an amazing live performer.
Anyways I got off track... Marie wasn’t good during the CBB tour. Althought she was very good in Joyride tour.
I loved her voice in So Far Away, Never is a long time, listen to your heart and all those amazing ballads. Wow...

Marie’s voice got deeper trough the years witch happens to a lot of artists. (It didn’t happen to Per though). I still like here voice a lot though she can’t reach some high notes. I think they had to rearange some songs to perform live on the last tour so Marie would be able to sing them. IMHBL for example, normaly, the last chorus goes up, on the last tour it didn’t, same goes for Listen To Your Heart. (You should compare some new Bon Jovi songs to the old ones, same goes for John.)

This has been discussed before. There are THREE variables to consider about Marie’s voice... A) She smokes (which does add deposits on your vocal chords and can wreck your voice. B) That I am aware of, she has never had any type of vocal training which you should to keep your voice in check and C) She is older, with age, and also after having kids your voice can and in many cases does change.
I prefer her voice during LS! She was able to sing much more stronger, then again, back then, they had something to prove. Though, listen to “It Hurts” and her voice to me had the same quality as in back in LS.
Another thing is that, now Rox knows how it is like to sing certain songs live, which I am sure is a consideration when they are doing an album. You can’t record a song and then have to toss it cos it is a bitch to sing live.

well anyway Thank god I’m not alone in thinking that marie’s voice had change a bit. Coz I’ve been trying o compare his voice in their tourism balldas specially silverblue .she sounds too young back there and in rs album she sounds old already.
but anyay i still love her.
But I don’t know that she smokes she really does ? how about Per?

marie was a smoker previously, but when she was pregnant with jozefin she gave up. this was after the joyride tour.
afterthat sometimes she still smoked but never became a heavy smoker again.
now after her illness i am sure she will never start it again.
but yes, unfortunately this habit has had a bad effect on her voice.
those who feel she sang better on look sharp! or on joyride are absolutely right.
that’s my opinion too.
of course our voice will be different with the age too, but what really resulted in the change of maries voice is smoking.

the voice does change too throughout the years. I think i am more attracted to her RS type of singing, the voice got a bit darker and deeper :)
