something about the summer? I thought a lot of his songs were like that? i.e. Fireworks, June Afternoon.
By the way, I think a lot of Roxette fans enjoy Per’s songwriting because it is mostly about love. Fans and people can relate. And I think it works very well.

im not saying his writing sux.. im just saying it would be nice if he could maybe write a few more songs other than about love.. ok so maybe he has written a song about summer... well whynot another 1 seen as their are more than a dozen love ones....

Well, it’s true that most of Per’s english lyrics are about love, and it’s logical because english is not his first language and so the lyrics are not very deep...I think you can find the kind of lyrics you ask for in his swedish solo work.
BUT indeed there are some interesting lyrics in Roxette records which are not about love:
. “T-t-t-take it” (from TWATG but could have been a Roxette song).
. “Harleys & Indians”: about bikes!
. “I love the sound of crashing guitars”
. “Dressed for success”: It’s not about love as I remember...
. “The Rain”: about feelings and thoughts.
. “Looking for Jane”: a story.
...and many more!

@boykie: I agree with you, let’s hope there will be more songs with interesting lyrics in between the new songs :)
