I don’t know if anyone’s interested, or cares, but Elizabeth Smart (disappeared from her affluent home in Federal Heights last summer here in Salt Lake City) HAS BEEN FOUND ALIVE AND WELL!!!!! She was found in Sandy, Utah.. approximately 15 miles south of where she was abducted from. She HAS NOT been in the state all this time, however more information will be forthcoming when it is known. She’s still being interviewed and this will be a long and painstaking process because of the fact that she’s 14 and that investigators will be taking their time and not forcing the issue.
Her abductor, a street preacher named Emmanuel (aka something else, I’m too lazy to look it up) and his wife are in custody.
A brief aside: BOTH of them (Emmanuel and his wife) are (were) regular riders of the mass transit system here in SLC. Ain’t that a rip?

And don’t get me started on the “naughty preacher” thing. Sore subject that hits too close to home :‘(

i think whats alot more sad is if the stupid politicians weren’t arguing int hat state and had gotten the AMBER alert passed nation wide that she would have been found ALOT sooner

I just saw ’Inside Edition’, and the whole news was about that.
The psychologists were also wondering how come she didn’t escape in those times she had opportunities. Their theory is she probably had what they called ’The Stockholm Syndrome’ during the abduction.
