A Thing about...EMI-Germany

Does anyone know if EMI-Germany will again release an incomplete “Limited edition” with TPH, or will they now include ALL previously unreleased tracks??? Last time they also released a tracklisting with all new tracks on their homepage but in the end “Every day” was missing.

I think and I hope that this time everything will be better ! But I guess there will be several editions

It was a pitty that “every day” was missing, as this was one of the best Roxette songs i have ever heard!

Yes, it is a pity that “Every Day” got the shaft. Thinking logically, EMI Germany should have removed “The Weight Of The World” and replaced it with “Every Day” considering “The Weight Of The World” is already available as the b-side on the “A Thing About You” single. Why make things difficult for the fans? Sometimes I just don’t understand certain things. :/ Then they wonder why people download songs for free and they have to use copy protection to only make things worse. *shame*

I was so upset when I noticed that “Every day” was missing!!! I am wondering why the hell they didn’t put it on the album???

Does anyone know if “Every day” is somewhere online available?

@ Mfan28179-Jason: I wrote exactly this to EMI long before TBH was released.
I’m really angry about the whole music-business. These bad bad pirates who steal the music by copying and spreading them via Internet.

BUT: Is it right to release Best-Of-CDs again and again with almost identical tracklistings (not only with Roxette; everyone does it). There are always about two new Songs on it to force the fans to buy it. The production-costs for such CDs are rather low (you have to produce two songs, the rest already exists), but nevertheless we have to pay for 15 songs!

And then the artists say: okay, lets put bonus-stuff on it, so it’s also worth for fans to buy it. That’s nice, I think. A kind of compromise.

But then EMI-Germany comes and cancles songs, because the costs are too high when they release a bonus-CD (stupid, don’t you think? the extremely high costs for a best-of-CD...).
I wrote to them and I guess many others did the same. Do they care? No. Why not? There’s no difference if WOTW or ED would have been on the CD. Only for the fans. But I think the fans are not important for the sailing-figueres. They just noticed that they had too cancle one track, so I guess they took a cube or a coin to decide or just put away the last one on the tracklist.

And than they have this stupid “copy-controll”-campaign. Everyone has to suffer who buys a CD. But why should I buy a CD when I can’t listen to it where I want to?

All this makes me really angry. And I won’t buy the CD in Germany if there are tracks missing again. I also didn’t buy TBH in Germany because of this.
And under these circumcances I really don’t see any reason why someone should feel bad if she/he listens to these songs without buying the CD.

Lennon, I totally agree with what you mentioned. These are things that record companies overlook, and in the end, it’s only going to hurt them more. That’s why I always say...which is hurting them more? - using copy protection and therefore “encouraging” fans to download the music for free rather than buying the album OR using copy protection and keeping people from spreading the material illegally? Either way, you lose at some level. And in the end, it’s the REAL fans who suffer. It’s sad, especially when it comes to tracklistings and fans. At least put “Every Day” somewhere. They could have easily included it on the “A Thing About You” single. But no, they wanted to keep things cheap and greedy. 3 tracks only! Then they wonder why Roxette can’t sell. WAKE UP CAPITOL!
