Cliques on TDR!!!

Does anyone else think there are Cliques on TDR??
I most deffinately think so, and have to say, this annoys me to some point. I won’t give names, as I realy don’t want to start arguements or fights here.
Why can’t we be open to everybody here?

and what is clique?

I think, it’s something natural, that there are some cliques on TDR. This is something, which happens everywhere, where a lot of ppl come together. It’s all about same interests, same lifestyle, same way to chat, argue and discuss.
And I think it’s ok, as long as nobody will become an outsider just because of cliques.
It’s ok, as long ppl stay open and keep their interest to get to know others or find out more about other cliques.

NO Comment...........

what is Clique ??? ...

clique=team of ppl that stick up for each other while excluding others from the company

indeed.
I hate fawning here, theres too much of it on forum.
Peace

wel i knwo their are cliques in the fan base..there was one at the virgin mega store performance in 2000 and it made newbies feel very left out

oh im sorry coy :(

but cliques are inevitable when u have to do with large amounts of ppl...some know each other better...some fit with others quicker ...u know how it is...the thing is not to be done deliberately

yeah but do u think marie and per would want their fanbase to be exclusionary ..a members only as you woudl have it system. I remebrr it was like being at high school. u have these 5 -6 people that seem to just follow per and marie around everywhere and they saomehow feel they are somehow more of a fan than I am or better than me...which is a load of bullocks...that same smug mentality is perpetuated on here too just becuase someone has an mpeg file that noonelse has or an mp3. Maybe this is why per and marie are slowing things down cause just like forme sometimes it just isn’t fun anymore

no its not like that for me...im not a fan of Marie and Per...im only a fan of Roxette as in the music band...i dont worship Per i think hes a clever man and a talented writer composer...i dont worship Marie i think she has a unique voice and to me looks like shes a kind person...do u get the difference?

Now i know that there are ppl in here and other Rox forums that behave as if they are Pers and Maries “extensions” LOL but i dont buy that, im not like “omg those fans are so important i have to be their friend! on the contrary! i like whoever i want, whoever is in the same wave length”

Those who think are so important cause they met/talked to marie and per are only fooling themselves...

Its like the example with the Sun and Moon...Sun has its own light ...Moon doesnt... it only glows with the Suns light ...

Now whoever gets the joke knows what im talking about :)

Don’t think there are any on TDR but my local church has a few when I was younger, still does and they know who they are.

Personally I can’t be doing with that. I get on with anyone and will make anyone feel welcome...

Take recently at work, a new employee called Charlotte started work and because she was different (south african, intelliegent, went to Uni, had a life and plans for the future) she was pushed out and not made to feel welcome by our small department (30). People reported her when she made the slightest mistake. Yet all along I got on with this girl and we even went out a few times to the pub. Now the manager did not review her contract and she lost her job. Now I have lost a good friend in Charlotte and feel I have no respect for the people at my work who made her feel like crap.

I think they were jealous that she had plans for the future and did not want to be stuck in a dead end job!!

Yeah work has a clique!!

doesn’t everyone here belongs to a clique???
I do think so.....
anyway,i agree with vax,for me,it’s not because they’re rox-fans,it’s just because they’re nice people :)

well said vaxjoe and wendy .. that’s the way I think about it!

me too...

@Coy: I think Per and Marie couldn’t care less about this subject... :P

I hate to believe that but it seems we’re getting near... :((((
It used to be better before in some way, now it seems it’s hard for someone new/unknown to get answers & hepl...

@ vaxjoe: LOL, I like that! I agreee with yout! :)))
... and the Moon chases the Sun forever, but can never ’catch’ it! :)
@ Judith: agree! :)

Can anyone please tell me the names of these cliques?

I’m curious too. I’d appreciate if someone let us the name of these “cliques”. Btw, in portuguese cliques means click or (hit and press; as when we are talking about a button or a website button).

Later.

Carlos:Clique=team of ppl who tend to leave others out

The only thing i could think of is that there are ppl who write mostly on “Roxette” and others who write mostly in “Off topic” but still thats hardly called clique

@Vaxjoe: Thanks, friend. Yep, you are right. I believe that a clique is much more specific. :-).

Carlos E., New York.

Is that really bad? I mean, never had friends any of you? With friends always happens that you like some more than the others. I see it as pretty normal...

@Santi: You’ve hit the nail in the head precisily!!! :-).

Curious, are family cliques? Uhmmm...

Carlos E., New York.

cliques evolved out of human natures desire to be segregated ..however it goes to an extreme sometimes....just as americans are described as elitests and arabs are dumped into the category of terrorists..

it goes to both extremes

families are small tribes...

lol loook up the research of jane goodall

very fascinating stuff about the socialization of apes and how they compare to humans

its very disturbing lol

The professor i had last semester for Cultural Anthropology should have talked to us in the class about cliques. :-). But we did talk about human evolution and apes.
