Roxette much more successfull than Ace of Base!!

most people here know I am not the biggest Ace of Base supporter, and here I go again! :-) I just have to say how happy I am that Roxette have got the latest compilation at Number 11 in the UK and also broke into most European Top 10’s, while Ace of Base new Album didn’t have any mentionable success at all.
I am delighted about that! :-) Stupid I know, but I just don’t like Ace of Base, that’s why I am even happier about Roxette’s current success, as Ace of Base sure are anoyed about it.

that is quite obvious. Everybody knows that AoB don’t like Roxette. They have said that many times themselves. It is just obvious, that Ace of Base is anoyed about such a fact.

Ace of Base have said some negative things in the past about Roxette, but if you look at the last year, also how they responded to Marie’s illness, then you have to say that there are a lot of Ace of Base fans who like Roxette and the other way around.

Whatdoyamean?! OF COURSE rox is better :-))) Never have taken AOB all that serious anyway. All they can come up with are these easy tunes and they got simple lyrics. (each album sounds nearly the same as their previous one.. the reason I stopped buying them after The Bridge.. and sold both albums short after) Very uninteresting and have become VERY unnecessary if you ask me.. AQUA had better taste!

To me, Ace Of Base is pretty good. Not the greatest, but not terrible either. I thought their best album was “The Bridge”, then “Flowers”, then “Happy Nation”, which overall sucked!! But, they’ve had some good singles, so to me, their hits collection would suffice the best. With Rox, I need EVERY song, that’s how superior Rox is to me. LOVE AQUA tho, every song is great, but they only had 2 albums before the split. I also love these 2 Danish groups: DAZE and TOYBOX. Anybody else here collect them?? I can’t get ahold of their 2nd albums: “They Came To Rule” (Daze) and “Toyride” (Toybox, hmmm, sounds like they’re paying tribute to Roxette, eh??) Also, Tik N Tak, anybody hear of them?? How about Starparty??

If you would have read all my comments more carefully, you would have seen, that I don’t like Roxette more than Ace of Base because of the bigger Success Roxette has got. I am glad Roxette has got more success than AoB because I don’t like aob. lol
How would you know what kind of magazines I am reading anyway?
I am sorry DaCapo, but you really shouldn’t take everything so serious. If you read the whole thread, you can see, that I even said myself, that threads like this one are stupid but sometimes fun... geez, why get so annoyed? lol

Some people get anoyoned with certain comparasions btw artists and groups. For instance MTV has lots of fun making fun of any group or artists they are constantly talking about and getting huge success ... that is really a shting thing to handle each day. I get annoyed with that because it-s all the same everyday .... As far as i know, when Roxette was recording HAND in Marbella (Spain) they went one day to a party in Ulf´s house (Ulf is a menber of Ace Of Base who had a house in Marbella)
