for you? i think it would be better if i wrote a song for him....

Per writing a song for Dire Straits or Eric Clapton would be a interesting challange. Or?

Ough. Hmm. I’m not really sure. I think not. But Mark Knopfler is still “alive” with his new Album THE RAGPICKER’S DREAM. Maybe they play sometime together, again. But, wow, a duet with Per Gessle and Mark Knopler or Eric Clapton that would really a dream.

Per and these dinosaurs?? Interesting, but it wouldn’t work, as they are not POP down to the core, ya know?? At least Belinda Carlisle IS pop to her core!! I would say Paulina Rubio, as she has good pop sensibilities and “Border Girl” kicks ASS!! I would also say he should collaborate with Rick Nielsen of Cheap Trick, Paul McCartney, Elvis Costello, Aimee Mann, Paul Waaktaar-Savoy of a-ha and Savoy, Richard X Heyman, Geaorge Usher, Lava Baby, Jaime-Lynn Amoscato (the talented one from defunct girlband rubyblue), Robin Wilson of the Gin Blossoms, Dan Wilson of Semisonic, Roger Clyne (from the Refreshments and Peacemakers), Denny + Kenny Scott from Swirl 360, the Cardigans, Ginger from the Wildhearts, Ken Stringfellow + Jon Auer from the Posies, Marshall Crenshaw, Bleu, Andy Sturmer from Jellyfish, Swede powerpop masters the Merrymakeers and Grass Show, Jeff Lynne from ELO, Ric Ocasek from the Cars, Rivers Cuomo from Weezer, Wayne Coyne from the Flaming Lips, Pete Yorn, Susanna Hoffs from the Bangles, Anna Waronker from That Dog, Steve + Jeff McDonald from Redd Kross, Charlotte Caffey from the GoGos, Meredith Brooks, Sheppard + kenny from Coward who are top pop songwriters and producers now, maybe even Swede pop writers/producers Andreas Carlsson + Max Martin.
I’m just talking good quality POP people, that Per could work with and get great results, yet he’s fine on his own, as TWATG is perfect proof, yet I’m sure Per likes to collaborate...

uhmmm...well... me? Yes, I want Per to write a song for ME!!!!! :D :D :D Sorry guys...couldn’t resist *lol*

Per has said many times he likes to do it on his own. Just look, he changed Anders as engineer to have more control over the sound.
The record company forced him and Belinda to work together because they don’t even like each other’s work, that has been said too many times.
And just remember that the only ones with which he feels good working with are Mats MP Persson and Marie.
Because that Hasse Huss... what did he do with the lyrics to “Som I En Dröm” converting into “So far away”? :s -> destroy them!!!
And Desmond Child :S... I hate You don’t understand me, but Per said they got another song called “Only You” that sounded like “one of Bon Jovi’s cheap ballads”... and it wasn’t even Per’s idea to collaborate.
But of course the worst has been G. Escolar... he did they same to the English lyrics as Hasse Huss to the Swedish lyrics of “Som I En Dröm”... or even worse.
I think he’s much better doing his own thing and collaborating just with Mats.

nothing to do with the topic, but I would like Marie and Eva Dahlgren to sing a duet :) (I want you is not enough :P)
About Gessle.. he writes songs for other bands - as long as he is not involved in the production of it I think he finds it ok :P
