WACKO JACKO!

Did anyone in the UK see the Jackson interview last night... I watched some of it out of pure intrest... the guy is a complete fruit cake.
Okay he says he loves his kids... yet makes them walk around wearing masks to hide who they are... how many other stars do this to there kids. I know Per and Marie protect there children from the public as would any star but they do not go to such extremes.
And that poor baby... he was trying to feed it a bottle and the poor thing was crying... it had a scarf over it’s face to hide it from the camera.... you could see the child was clearly distressed.
C’mon Jackson... get a life and give your kids one!

I liked him, until I saw the ad for the programme earlier, him sat there holding the hand of a young teenager. It was freaky. Sickazoid.

When I was a little girl I worshipped Michael Jackson– I thought (and still think) that “Thriller” was a brilliant album. And as an adult, I appreciate the stuff that he did with the Jackson 5 and songs like “Don’t Stop Till You Get Enough” but I think he lost me around the time “Black Or White” came out. It just didn’t grab me.
Now, all I know of Michael Jackson is that he’s got deep emotional issues– father issues, addiction to plastic surgery... I feel sorry for his kids. Not all the money in the world can get rid of a parent’s emotional baggage.

I watched the whole programme......and saw Jacksons behaviour change several times, to be honest it shocked me.....those poor children! Jeezus.....if he cares about as much as he says.....why drag them about just so the media circus can hound them? They looked bloody scared to death.....the bloke needs to take a long hard look at himself.

“He still has some great songs nevertheless...”
Well, maybe. But he’s a lot false. I’m just thinking of the “Black and White” thingie. Look what he sings:
“I’m Not Going To Spend
My Life Being A Color”
“Don’t Tell Me You Agree With Me
When I Saw You Kicking Dirt In My Eye”
“If You’re Thinkin’ Of Being My Baby
It Don’t Matter If You’re Black Or White”
I think he’s the first person or at least one of the few that change his skin colour. So he’s singing this and he can’t accept himself as he is??? Does it really matter the colour? For me it doesn’t but it seems for him it’s everything, he’s obsessed with it.
And about a song called “They don’t care about us”, this might be the most “funny thing”. He recorded it with Brazilian style drums and the video was in Brazil, in one city’s (Rio de Janeiro or Sao Paulo, I don’t remember) favelas (a shanty town).
But he can’t even cross the street without that stupid mask, he can’t even be in a normal human environment. I can imagine he singing “they don’t really care about us” but thinking “and I’m the one who cares the least”.
He’s so untrue, it’s like a very bad copy of Bono, doing all this things as to clean his image but all he does is looking like stupid.
And well, about his songs, maybe yeah, there are some good, though I just like “Will you be there?”. But that’s depending on anyone’s taste...
vaxjoe said on February 4, 2003 11:30:
he didnt change his colour ....his colour changed because of a disease...
now that he is not no1 most of us try flaming him! not me...michael is a living pop legend the biggest one!
who can beat albums like THRILLER, BAD or even DANGEROUS?
so lets not put everyone against the wall just because WE are the audience WE can critisize everyone
btw santi for a non jackson fan u remember well the lyrics and videos :p

hm I never liked him, just some songs, but not as to buy his albums neither ask a friend to record them for me...neither to download them now, I dont really like his voice.
Dunno what to think about his operations, his white skin, i think i just feel a big pity for him, and a disgusting need to puke when I see him on tv/ pictures - when i see him i just see a living skeleton! (but I guess that’s just me cuz i am very affraid of all this zombies and ghosts stuff-i dont like horror films!)

Vax: for the lyrics there’s the internet :D
A disease... yeah, sure, the disease half the black population would love to have when they are discriminated. It’s strange, he must be the only case... maybe is a money related disease...
That of who can beat those albums... well... as I said before it’s a matter of taste. I prefer Tom Petty’s “FULL MOON FEVER”, Oasis’s “MORNING GLORY”, Roxette’s “JOYRIDE”, Kent’s “VAPEN OC AMMUNITION” or The Stone Roses’s “STONE ROSES” at any time of the day and I don’t regret not having a single Cd from Mr. Jackson. I even bought the Greatest Hits “History” and gave it back after 2 days to the shop because I just couldn’t stand it... and bought Ace of Base’s “THE BRIDGE” instead :D
In arts there’s nothing better of worse, because it all depends on the taste (remember that Van Gogh was a very poor person during his whole life because his arts was worthless... and now his picture’s are sold by milions...) of the audience. For me, anything that Mr. Jackson has done is beaten by far...
Anarem said on February 4, 2003 13:10:
@ Santi:
I’m not looking to start anything here, but what do you mean by:
“a disease... yeah, sure, the disease half the black population would love to have when they are discriminated. It’s strange, he must be the only case... maybe is a money related disease...”
I’m not sure exactly what you’re getting at, but if you mean that half the black population wants a disease like vitiligo (sp?), I think you’re wrong. It’s a disease that discolours the skin (patches of dark coulour here, patches of light colour there). Who wants to be look like a pariah? No sane person does. Or do you mean that half the black population wants to be white? I don’t know about what it’s like in other countries but the black people I am friends with are proud of who they are. Sure, for them it would be easier to be white. But do they want to be? I don’t think so.
Mikey, on the other hand, is a really troubled individual. He’s got issues, whether he wants to be black or white is irrelevant, it’s much deeper than that.

I just saw the special here in Australia tonight and to be honest, yes, Micheal Jackson is weird but that wanker of an interviewer was just getting on my nerves! I would have belted him one if he was making me look like a really crazy person on purpose! He only had one thing in mind to make Micheal look even more crazy then he is!
And the way he made such small pointless things into a big thing “Oh Micheal you climb a tree? No how can that be” what a down right fuck wit, who cares!!! He should be sacked!
Sorry it’s just that two hours of it made me mad and I’m not even a micheal fan!

@Judith - I never liked him either ;) music that is.

The interviewer was a bit weird I agree.... but I think MJ only agreed to the interview as the guy had a bit of an obsession with Princess Di and it was the same interviewer who did her when she was alive.
I had this freaky friend once that was obsessed with MJ... I would I was obsessed with Roxette but she was way over the top... lucky for me the friendship ended sooner rather than later....
If I could have MJ music’s then fair enough... but as for him as a person... no thanx!!!

Twilight-Ghost said on February 10, 2003 16:04:
I like most songs of Michael Jackson. I love his style. I’ve always believed that Mr Jackson is misunderstood.
Here are just some of my thoughts why he lives the way he does. I’m not saying I’m right, just my own thoughts.
Yes, I agree there maybe times that it would seem he is puerile. He is an adult man who sometimes acts like a child. He wishes he is Peter Pan a fairy tale character that never grew up. Built himself a “neverland” and likes to play with his toys. Could it be because Michael Jackson himself has been a celebrity and very popular since he was a young boy that he never actually enjoyed being a child.
So, maybe some of his actions is his way to reclaim his lost childhood.
Why does he sleeps with children?
First of all, I don’t think he really harmed the boy we saw with him in the interview. I mean look at the boy, he didn’t look scared, he was laying his head on his shoulders, holding his hand (in a friendly way) and when he spoke he sounded very sincere about Jackson.
Even if Jackson really molested a boy in ’93, maybe now he’s changed.
As a young boy, Michael Jackson suffered in the hands of his father. He knows what it’s like to be physically abused and to feel ’unloved’ as a child. (I’m not saying his father didn’t love him, maybe he just felt he didn’t) and therefore doesn’t wish any children would suffer similar fate. So, he tries to be nicer to them, could be the reason why he gives special attention to children.... and maybe deep down, he knows only a child could understand him (obviously adults can’t).
I’m not really sure if he is fit to be a parent. We can’t really judge him on that as we don’t know the pop singer personally. What we read in the tabloids about a celebrity is not always correct. Remember ’bad news’ is ’good news’ to the press (because bad news sells more magazines and newspapers).
People who are close to him has vouched for him that he is a good parent and good person. So, why should we believe the reporters who don’t even know him than those who are actually close to him.
I personally believe when he dangled his child few stories high from the hotel in Berlin, he probably didn’t realise how dangerous it was (he is just a bit immature). Everyone makes mistakes. I don’t think he will intend to harm his child, even Jacko said so himself “I was holding him tight, I was not gonna let him fall”.
... about feeding his baby. I must agree that I felt sorry for the baby because his face was covered, he was crying while Jackson was trying to feed him.
But remember this, Jackson and the baby was in front of the camera that’s why his face was all covered. Of course “off camera” (in which the baby and his other 2 children spents more time on) do not have covers on their faces. So maybe if Jackson is feeding the baby “off camera” (without the cover on his face) it wouldn’t look as bad.
The surgery:
I don’t understand why he would lie about this. It is so obvious he had plastic surgery. Maybe some of people theories are correct. He wants to change his appearance because he get teased a lot on how he looked when he was a teen. That’s enough to give anybody an emotional scar.
I think this is what Santi meant, that the disease “vitiligo” is convenient for black people who “wishes” they are white. I’m not saying that all black people wish they are white, just for those few who does.
I really believe Jackson wants to be white. I still don’t know why. I think he even wants to prove to the world that he has white genes. That’s why his children looks white and even if his youngest son is white, he lies that his mother is black. So, we would assume his son’s “white genes” is from him.
I’m not here to defend Jackson, though it may seem I did for most of the argument. I just thought we should atleast give him the benefit of the doubt.
............
As an artist though, Jackson ROCKS!!!!
He is so talented, clearly a singing and dancing prodigy. He could also write good songs. God must have a reason why he gave him such talents.
My favourite Michael Jackson songs has already been posted by many people here. So, I thought I’ll just share my favourite songs of his when he was a child.
My favourite songs of the (then) young Jackson are “Ben”, “I’ll be there” and “Smile”
In my earlier post I asked for a song that Jackson was singing when he was walking with his kids and I just found it is called “Smile”.
“Smile, though your heart is aching
Smile, even though it’s breaking
When there are clouds in the sky
You’ll get by...
If you smile
With your fear and sorrow
Smile and maybe tomorrow
You’ll find that life is still worthwhile”
............ maybe because of the criticism of his interview, Jackson surely needs that song to lift his spirits.
powerpoplarry said on February 13, 2003 09:09:
HEY, Elvis Costello does a version of that song “Smile” as well!! Could be that Wacko loves that song cuz Charlie Chaplin wrote it.
Um, my views on Wacko, um I think the guy is very talented, but I was never compelled to buy his records, not even “Thriller” when it was new. I always thought the guy was OK, not enough to buy his records, but in his heyday, seeing loads of fans literally FAINTING at the sight of him was a complete turnoff, I could never understand what the big deal was!! I still don’t. I always thought the guy had too big of an ego, this whole spectacle, and it turned me off completely. A coupla times, when I was able to actually separate the hoopla from the music, I did buy “History”, but his interview with Diane Sawyer, and the whole promo thing of sending the statue of himself down the Thames, just ruined it for me, and I sold it. PLUS, proclaiming himself as the “King Of Pop” was the biggest turnoff, as he’s NOT POP, he’s melodic R+B!! When you talk about POP, it’s about powerpop, bands like Cheap Trick, Roxette, the Beatles, Who, Kinks, Raspberries, Rooks, Adam Schmitt, the Bangles, the GoGo’s, ABBA, stuff like that, NOT Wacko!!
So in the end, yes the guy is talented, but I’m not a fan of his voice really. Yes, he has some good songs, but he’s literally in artistic denial, thinking he’s all that!! He’s no Prince, who is TOO prolific for his own good. He’s no Madonna, who is always ahead of the curve and brings the underground into the mainstream. Wacko spends 30 MILL on “Invincible” and it’s a lackluster album, yet I thought “2000 Watts” was interesting and kinda cool. He’s outta touch BIG TIME, and thinks he’s the KING OF POP??!!?? Please.... Per Gessle is the REAL KING OF POP. as he is pop on a higher level and he has hooks, melodies, riffs and choruses coming out of his ass!! Wacko can’t do what Per does.
Now, about his kids and his life?? The guy is wacked and had a misplaced childhood. I kinda sympathise for the guy, but he needs serious help. I think he is a total pedophile. He’s also in the closet, sexually, and if he doesn’t watch it, his kids will need help as well. The guy is a freak, and I think if “Off The Wall” and “Thriller” only sold modest amounts of records, and his fans didn’t go apeshit or treat him like a deity, he wouldn’t be as abnormal as he is today.
