Well done EMI, you really know how to do business!

Not only do you manage to put as little effort into promoting real musicians and singers - people who have talent and work hard at what they do (i.e. Roxette). You also do very well at making record-breaking deals with complete idiots and people who don’t respect you one iota!

Mariah Carey had to be bought out of her contract, ’cos apparently she was going a bit loopy.

Then you pay a record £80 Million to a certain Mr R Williams, who yesterday decided to tell everyone that downloading songs from the internet for free was a great idea...totally against EMIs stance - with all the copy protected CDs coming out at the moment, and EMIs determination to clamp-down on illegal downloading.

I mean do you understand how stupid you look? Do you grasp the concept of good business decisions? Do you not understand what quality you have on your repetoire books, and instead you insist on throwing stupid amounts of money at ’stars’ who really just want to make you look like a dull, disorganised and commercially non-astute company.

Well done EMI.

Maybe we should award you the big, red, juicy Raspberry that is adorning all of Roxette’s promotions (meant in the weakest sense of the word!!). The Raspberry of non-commitment, the raspberry of stupid decision-making, the raspberry of indecision, crap timing, lack of effort and most of all LACK OF SKILLS IN YOUR COMPANY.
