Conlanging

As I see there are people interested in Lord of Rings in here... I’d like to know if there is someone into “conlanging”?
Any websites or projects of yours? :p

Basically create your own language is what you are saying, right?
I did something like that in junior high, when my english class created their own civilisation. Me and a friend were in charge of linguistics.

We created the written form of the language. It was done as a “Your civilisation has been wiped out. 200+ years later, an archeological team discovers it. What would they find?” kind of thing. TONS of fun.

I’m creating a language also :D Yeah, it so fun :p
Which kind of symbols did you use?
LittleSpooky said on January 21, 2003 02:54:
Uh, we used whorls and lines. Nothing fancy since we only had 2 weeks to create a fully functional civilisation. What about you?

I’m creating a full language: lexicon, grammar, sounds... the only thing I don’t create is the symbols, I use those from the language of the visitors in the series V, they’re cool :D
I’m creating the language for a sci-fi story I’m about to write. I wanna give more realism to the story :p

My girlfriend and I have our own language if that is valid LOL
We speak some kind of German-English :P

Yeah, mixing languages is a favourite thing to do among “conlangers” :D I’ve seen even German language mixed with Japanese, Gaelic mixed with romanic languages, romanic languages mixed with slavonic... :D It’s fun :p

E-Mail me a copy of it when you’re done, Santi? It’s soundin pretty cool. I’m familiar with V... that was one of the shows that helped me to discover that I’m a twisted little freak and I can stomach more gory things than your average person ;o)

Well, in case someone doesn’t know, conlanging is to construct languages, fictional or auxiliary languages.
