When a band of that style dares to make a Roxette cover is a big risk for their reputation.... so if they do it is cos they really like the song or Roxette....it is a big display of love for the music....
unless they do it just to mock roxette... dunno yet. i´m donwloading

... I think he sings like that in order nobody would notice phonetical mistakes...
But it can be also a feature of the doom-metal style...

I haven’t heard it but the vocals in such styles (sorry, I get lost with trash metals, doom metals and so on) must be sounding “not nice”, it’s the way it has to be. That doesn’t mean a lack of singing style or tecnique, it’s just the way things are conveyed in that style of music.

The only thing I don’t like too much much is that harmony is a lot more weak than the original version, but well, that’s what happens when you use power chords.
Also the guitar solo is... not what one might expect from one of these bands where lead guitar players are expected to sound like Steve Vai :D. It’s pretty weak, much weaker than Jonas Isacsson’s solo.
I also have a version of this song, but adapted into Catalan language. :p

They have destroyed their best ballad, I guess Roxette or EMI dont know.......
