Bringing back the guitars!

Is it just me or does anybody else miss the Guitars lately?
To be honest I´m kinda fed up with all the keyboards synths and all the electronic stuff on the latest roxette releases.

I miss the guitars VERY much... actually I’m a little worried about the first single of The Pop Hits, cause according to the news on TDR, this song will sound like a “Room Service” song... and this probably means like “The Centre Of The Heart”... and i just HATE this song with synths, techno beats and all this crap.
Too bad for me !!!
All the best

i want the guitars soooo much,
TCOTH live is the best, i just think there last albums had lost that rock factor which most poeple like i think, they have taken up studio technique albums which is good but they have lost that ’Real’ feeling -if you know waht i mean.. ’breathe with guitar power chords would be so cool, dont care if dosent seem modern or not.
bye

i think it is a good topic! ( sorry i had to reply)
anyway u absolutely right! where r all the distorsion solo’s?? as a guitarist i miss very much all the sounds of the electric guitar as a dominant sound , rather than the electric and organ stuff. roxette did a big change in that matter in their music if u focus on the room service and have a nice day albums.

Yeah, I would like to hear some power chords again, too! But you have to consider that Roxette actually started out with a synthie dominated sound in ’88, just listen to Look Sharp!. They later focused on guitars with a peak on CBB.
Ferdan said on December 18, 2002 09:34:
but in look sharp there were some guitar based songs: Dangerous, dressed for succes, The look why not...
all of them total hits..
oh

a non guitar song doesn’t mean a good song either! duh
what did you want to add to the discussion?
NinaP said on January 23, 2003 23:06:
A guitar doesntmean a good song,you´re right...
Well i do like guitars,ánd I think Per makes great guitar based songs, that´s it
And I miss it

For most pop-rock music lovers a non guitar song actually means a boring sounding THING.

Though Rox has some loverly Ballads and stuff.
We need GUITARS. o_o Another something like SIMC would be nice. ;)
I love Look Sharp! It’s my fav Roxette CD. And it’s not about blasting metal sounding guitars all over the place, but the songs on LS! that do have them work very well. I am just not a fan of postly dance stuff with ZERO guitar... Well at least not from Roxette. :)

TO PER:
Could you involve some guitars into new Roxette songs??? Like it was on CRASH!BOOM!BANG! I love this album!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please write some hits like Sleeping in my car; Fireworks etc...

what they need to do if marie’s recovery goes well is give it one last big smash..bring banck the entire old bank vivki for backing vocals on the tour and do a band record just like cbband tourism...it would top the charts and our hearts :)

bunny is right too my only gripe about breathe is that is the synthesized string section it would been better with real instruments
bunny said on December 8, 2002 22:59:
i miss guitars too, but what i miss here is the classical instruments they use like the amazing cello intro to WICF. It looks like they have lost those as well with room service and TBH. Now they just have some simple piano ... so it would be nice to bring back the stringed intruments as well!
