Hi everyone!
I’m proud to say that my debut album is about to be released in JAN 08. The first time I mentioned it on TDR was when I just started it in 2003!!! It has taken me almost 5 years to complete this CD. I paid for the whole album myself, which makes me really proud. Wrote all the songs myself, did the design and got my songs onto local radio as well! Thanks to TDR, I met wonderful friends here who supported me through the years - all the way from Argentina to Sweden. Thank you so much guys! I will be recording the last song for the album in the first week of January and then have it ready for release later that month. For now I’m having my Xmas break. Roxette has played a major part in the creation of the album (POP also inspired my sleeve!) and I even have Per and Marie mentioned in the thank you’s of the album. Roxette has played a role in everyone here’s life. This is what they inspired me to do. So I’m saying thank you to them here as well!!! (As I know they come and look in every now and then!). My album is in Afrikaans (a language created in South Africa but very similar to Dutch), my home language. I started out in English but decided to go the Afrikaans route as it sounded different. I’m even releasing my own version of Dance Passion with remixes and demos of my songs in Janaury. You can go and check it out (and buy the EP in the meantime on lulu.com) on my website.
