What other music do you like to listen...
Stormkeeper said on February 2, 2002 10:04:
but Roxette?
I like anything except Metallica, trash-/death metal etc. They are horrible and makes me sick.
I´m 30 and I have some great memories from the ‘80´s...! WHAT A DECADE!!!!
The music was so different then, comparing to stuff on the charts now.
It was such innocent time.
Oh, by the way, I´m new here so I´d like to introduce myself.
My fave Roxette song: Things Will Never Be The Same and The Sweet Hello, The Sad Goodbye
the best album:
Have a Nice Day!
the best video: You Don´t Understand Me
Bye! Stormkeeper

Welcome!

At the moment I’m into Elton John’s latest album (it needs a couple spins before it grows on you) as well as Sinead O’Connor and the Cranberries.
By the way, when I first heard Wake Up and Smell the Coffee (the latest Berries LP) I thought it was the worst album I’d heard last year. But now–it seems like a true masterpiece...Give it a try!

Hello Stormkeeper and welcome to the forum which will make you an even bigger Rox-addict ( if it’s possible.... ;)
I’ve been into Roxette & related since their international breakthrough with ’The Look’ which is over good 10 years now ( ah, time flies.....)
apart from Roxette.... I love Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band for over 20 years and Bruce looks better now than in the 70’s ;). I’ve been to their 4 hour long concerts which were amazing to experience every night and I pray for a new tour this year...
Roxette and Springsteen are the biggest musicians for me. But I love music, so there are more artists I listen to. I’m nuts about U2 and Travis, I like REM and Red Hot Chili Peppers, I enjoy Primal Scream and Mad Season and I support my friends’ bands : Natanael (from Poland) and Amsterdam (from England ). I also like the project by Goran Bregovic & Kayah. In fact, I like all solo works by Bregovic and by Kayah too....Edyta Gorniak (Polish) is great as well...hmm....the list continues :)

I like almost all styles of music, even dance. techno, but also classic. I only dislike rap.
@Kachina: Here in Netherlands you have to like dance and techno, it’s very very popular here and you hear it 50 times a day on the radio. So I like dance and techno too.
Can anybody tell me what lmfao means??

@ kachina, Stormkeeper & Taysan,
I’ve totally been in to Dance/Techno/Trance lately! Nice to know some people that do as well. Seems like not many people in this forum are into it unfortunately. Well, my current favorites are listed below. I’d be interested in seeing who you guys like too.
E-Type (the greatest!), Me & My, Sash!, Scooter, E-Rotic, Da Buzz, Smile.dk, Soda, Crispy, Dr. Alban, Captain Jack, Solid Base, Pandora, Caramell, Dromhus, Blumchen, Aqua, Toy Box, Hit n Hide, Daze, Modern Talking, Sylver, Alice Deejay, Venga Boys, Fragma, and a bunch more.
As you can tell by this list, pretty much anything coming out Sweden, Denmark or Germany makes my list. Those 3 countries just seem to be able to pump out the EuroDance/Pop/Trance/Dance/Techno sound non-stop.
Taysan said on February 4, 2002 10:44:
@ Perfanatic: It’s so cool that you like dance/techno/trance too!! From what country are you??
Do you know Milk. inc?? they’re from Belgium. If you’ve got audiogalaxy, you should dl Walk on Water, that’s really a great song. And do you know ’resurrection’ from ppk?
And I agree with you that Alice Deejay are great!!
gabbe said on February 4, 2002 12:13:
the music from the ’80s is the best. Anyway, i like listening to celtic and country music as well as Roxette.
PerFanatic said on February 4, 2002 15:06:
@ Taysan - Yeah, I really like Milk, Inc. too. I have quite a few MP3’s from them. Walk on Water is indeed a great trancey song... i love that one! I’m not familiar with the other song you mention though. Do you know when ADJ is supposed to come out with some new material? I heard it’s supposed to be soon but those are just rumours I think.
Oh, I’m from the Portland, OR - USA. Yes, the musically depraved USA:(
The thing is, I keep finding great new bands in this Dance/Techno/Trance genre, it’s almost too much to keep up with. I recently found a great streaming audio station on the net. There’s several to chose from but the EuroDance and Trance are the best. I listen to the 128k feed at work and the quality is great. They also have feeds for lesser bandwidths. Check out www.euromusicworld.com and click on the links on the left of the page. You should really like this music. They play well known groups as well as a lot of obscure ones that i’ve never heard of.
Anyway, if you want, send me an e-mail some time.

Hey Kachina… Yes, I like the Pauls (Van Dyk & Oakenfold) very much. Have you heard Van Dyk’s remix of Alphaville’s “Dance with me”? I think it’s even better than the original! I’m not familiar with underworld, though. Can you suggest some good songs to DL? Do you know Richi M and Antiloop? I’ve also really been into both Sash! and Scooter lately. Do you like them?

Perfanatic, no i havent heard the remake of “dance with me”. underworld’s most famous track is “born slippy” from the trainspotting album. the fat boy slim remix is good, the original is good too but a bit long.

Krezip is a Dutch band indeed. It’s popmusic with a slightly punky sound. They are still very young, but quite good.
Although I’m not really into that kind of music I always liked Sadeness from Enigma. Now I bought the greatest hits. It’s beautiful!
