Been reading about this case now and I feel so sad about this girl being lost. I think she is dead :(. But the parents are innocent I think. If they did it, how could they keep the charade going on for so long?? I dont think the did it. Same thing happened in australia in early 80s...the little grl that was taken by that dingo and then the mother was jailed. Many years later it turned out she WAS innocent.

I don’t think the parents where involved in this at all, I think the Portuguese police have realised how they have f***ed up from the start and are now trying to put the blame on them!
Here in the UK if a car like the Renault Scenic had DNA in it or was in anyway part of a crime it would have been impounded as evidence, they would not have been aloud to carry on driving around it in for months, and neither would it have been rented out to other people.
The whole way it has been handled is rather suspicions in it’s self, I am curious who in the police force in Portugal has been tipping off the Portuguese press!
I feel sorry for the family, they went out for a family holiday and returned without there eldest daughter, if that had been me I would not have been able to handle it like they have, they have kept strong because of there faith and the support of there families and public.
I don’t think Madeline is alive anymore, if that is the case then I hope a body is found if only to prove the parents are innocent!

There’s no proof though. You can’t send the parents to prison just because ’it’s obvious’, can you? And if they are found to be innocent, I bet you they’ll sue the crap out of every newspaper, policeman, and tv station that implied they did it. They look like that kind of dish.

I read the other week that Maddie had been spotted in France in a cafe by an english girl i think. maybe just a story to get Maddie back in papers i dont know....
The other girl- Shannon, yea i have heard about that, looks like she has been abducted, surely they would have found her by now if she had fallen somewhere etc. Very sad.

Dead? yes, ive thought that after the first week. as for the parents.... well ive also had them under suspicion from the start... theres something not quite right, but with so many stories in the press its difficult to say. i hope they are innocent but until a body turns up we will never know.
