The problem is not the layout, that’s silly. People should stop acting like kindergarten kids and grow up a little. Forums are dead because there is nothing to comment about at the moment, don’t you see? Just check that thread about that supposed Marie’s statement that appeared in littlemarie.net: almost 90 reactions. People needs something to comment about to get into action again. And most of the current topics these days are totally boring, what else do you expect? 1000 reactions in threads like “Do you think we will ever get a new Rox album?” and such? No way!

In my opinion (and that’s all it is):
Half the mods don’t do crap about some of the folks here that need to be taken to task, and I’m kinda tired of it. I know I’ve been smacked around here a few times before, and I’ve deserved it. But there’s a couple of people here that have gotten to be “too big for their britches” and really need to be taken down a few pegs. They ain’t mods here... and as far as I’m concerned, they don’t mean dick to me with half what they say.
They get uptight when someone says something they don’t agree with and basically start the name calling and need some ego checkin.

A friend of mine once wrote:
“Arguing on-line is like running in the Special Olympics.

Even if you do ’win’, you’re still a retard.”

At a few places on this board, that CERTAINLY has become true.

It’s gotten to the point where I just have better things to do with my time.

I prefer to invest these hours doing something for myself. I still enjoy writing news though :)

You might also would like to know that if it were up to Thomas and me, a lot more users would have been (temporarely) banned, but it’s not too inspiring when whenever we post some straight comments telling somebody to behave, OUR comments get deleted.

So I gave up.

If it were up to me, this website would be a NEWS website, with news news news (+ comments) but no forum. There are enough places out there which people could use to vent themselves.

I can’t remember the last time I replied, but it’s been damn near close to a year. In fact, aside from the front page news, I don’t really ever come to the discussion pages anymore. Even when there was nothing Rox happening, I at least regularly haunted the Off-Topic section.

It’s the redesign–specifically, the stuff anchored to the right edge of the page accordians over the central text rendering it unreadable. I have to “physically” stretch the window wide enough so it clears the middle and then recenter the window. More effort than I really want.

So unless I check in–a habit I’ve fallen out of–and there’s something I feel like replying to, I don’t bother. If that problem was fixed, I’d be more inclined to participate again.

Someone complained about the “layout” of this site... Well, I was thinking... Because the site’s name is from the cover of Look Sharp! - maybe they could consider giving it a Look Sharp! Treatment - make it look like an old newspaper.

Just an idea!!
