Swedish on-line CD shoppes... HELP!!!

OK, I just wanted to throw this out to you all before I make another mistake.

Since Swedetown went out of business, I’ve been looking for an alternative to get my Swedish music fix. After looking through a couple of sites, in late November, I ended up chosing Bengans.se. I ordered The Rox DVD, MATAH Maxi, E-type “Euro4ever” and another music DVD. All items were in stock. Well, 7 weeks later I still don’t have my friggin order! I just sent them a 4th e-mail today, as well as calling there answering machine. Unfortunately, I have received no response from them whatsoever. Plus, they have not billed my Visa, so it apparently hasn’t even shipped yet. This is unacceptable in my opinion. Therefore, I am considering cancelling that order and placing a new one with another site. The question is... WHICH ONE. Most (like CDON & Ginza) do not ship outside of Scandanavia. I am currently considering Skivhugget. Does anyone have any experience with them, or can maybe recommend another option.

CDON have to ship outside scandinavia, because there is a english site for the Netherlands.... www.cdon.nl and they have Gyllene tider CD´s listed....
where do you live?

Jim, did ya try Anders at Relax records?
I will never buy another CD as long as I live but if I did
it would be from him. :)

Grrrr... but I might not be able to resist the new Jane Siberry... gotta
get enough junk to trade in!

one track is called: “it can’t rain all the time”

she has never been to Portland eh?

@ Daniel alv… I live in the US (deprived of good music on the air or in the stores). I could have sworn that I checked and CDON did not ship to the US. Hmmmm, maybe I just thought that because of the flags on the front page… maybe I’ll send them an e-mail to find out for sure

@SS57… man, that’s cold what you said about Portland. What’s more, it’s totally untrue! We hardly get any rain at all in July and August:) Hey, and what do you mean you’ll never buy another CD as long as you live???

:) heh!

well, they are too damn expensive!!!
I am all for “supporting the artist” and all that jazz but they really
get none of my money in the end.... like 5 cents! I hear it costs
like a dime to make a CD.. all the execs are just lining their pockets!
that new-age granola crunching fluff aside I was looking at my stack
of 300 ish CDs and said to myself “what the fuck!?!?!?” man that is like
nearly 4000 bucks!!!! and half of it I never even listen to, then a
quarter of that: rarely.
I could so be in Thailand now with that cash!

Strange that Bengans doesn’t reply... Anyways, I would go for Skivhugget, I’m pretty sure that CDON doesn’t ship outside of whatever country they are located in.

Hey SS57,
Yeah, I know they’re expensive. Think how I feel owning about 1000. Hell, you could buy a car for that! Like you, I also don’t listen to about half of them hardly at all but my favorites, I wouldn’t give back for anything. THere’s still something special about having the actual recording from your favorite bands, even if the material is readily available over the internet. The good thing is, I rarely pay more than $10 for a CD any more. On-line CD shoppes (especially in Sweden, etc, with the strong USD and VAT refund) are practically the only place I shop for music nowadays. You just can’t beat the price and they actually sell good music. Man, I can’t imagine going down to Tower Records and dropping nearly a $20 spot on Snoop Doggy Dog’s latest bastardpiece (oops, I meant masterpiece... not really:)

PerFanatic > Do that.... If they have a internationell site they should ship it worldwide....
