Isn't Per the Bill Gates of Sweden? Why not invest in Roxette? :P

Isn’t Per one of the most successful business person (and richest) in Sweden? I wonder if he has ever thought about putting some of his own $ in Roxette promotion. I am sure he already knows that a lot of Roxette songs/album could have been bigger hits with the right promotion (even if Marie can’t travel to perform yet - I mean ABBA albums are big sellers even after they disbanded)?

Nonsense.

ha ha :)
Per reads TDR so maybe just maybe he will reply you one day...

na na na na na

I dont think Per is THE richest...its not like he owns H&M or IKEA hehe. And I cant imagine Per “wasting” his own money in promotion...thats something the record company should pay for. They get most of the money anyway...

Accually the owners of H&M and IKEA are the richest according to dagens industri... and one of the rausing people (inventor of Tetra Pak) but he is not living in Sweden anymore... Those three swedes are on the world chart of the richest people... Per is rich, but not that rich.. If I remember correctly Per has approx 500 million SEK and the Ingvar Kamprad (IKEA) has about 197 billion... but Ingvar doesnt’s accually own IKEA cause it’s owned by a foundation in the netherlands...

The IKEA man is a real business man.... They allways have foundations that “owns” the companies... Cos then no matter what happens, they can only get richer, and must not
be afraid of loosing anything. Per had about 500 million back in 94 according to MIX from that year. He was asked... “is it true that you own half a billion” he answered.... “Well, I would never tell, but remember it as more” ... Cool answer on a dumb question *S* I guess its more now 13 years later.... He is not just into music so...

Per has companies all over the world... So... I dont know how much he has... And I dont care... He deserves it, and shall enjoy it. He has given us so much, and I think he should just make some more music for us/me *S* , and enjoy his life...!

HE DESERVES IT *LOL*

recently read he has about 600 million, but I’m not quite sure. Does it matter after all? 10 million more or 10 million less, well...

But I have never heard of Per having companies all over the world...Are you sure?? He did invest in music here and there, but never outside Sweden; as far as I know. maybe I’m wrong though.

Max that would be a 100 more :D ... But as you say... Who cares...

Yes Per is a active business man...

Anyway... If I was so rich and 48, I would sit in the sun and do nothing, without some sports and relax, and enjoing life *LOL*

Haha, RJ...then I make the required correction: 1 million less or 1 million more, well...

ps: do we need the 0’s at all? haha

RJ1976 > Companies is usually owned by people. The thing is that Ingvar can not take out the money from IKEA anytime he wishes to, so he is accually not the owner of IKEA, just the creator. If he was the owner he would be richer then Bill Gates according to some magazines.

Well, my father knows a lot about economics and I discussed this matter with him. It is obvious that we can assume two scenarios:

1) Per invested most of his money and didn’t bet or got into risky businesses.

2) Per waisted most of his money or lost a little through stock exchanges/different bankrupcies.

If the first one is true, his fortune could be up to 800 million dollars, which is almost a billion. With 500 million in his bank, only his interest could grow to this sum.

If the second one is true, then it could remain the same, or even less. He is very rich, that is for sure.

This is only an estimation, assumption. Don’t be mad.

Yea.. If I’m not misstaken, Ingvar Kamprad is actually up there competing with Bill Gates about who is the worlds richest person. And Per is sertainly not part of that discussion. Sure he has a lot of money, but not nearly as much...
