looking like another Edel deal or even worse ... What exactly is this new deal with Capitol Records when they don’t even advertise the release of the Hits on their website?

Shammes, wow...you should win a prize for the most depressing post on TDR. And the worst thing is that you exposed it very coherently and - as if wouldnt be enough - there’s quite a lot of truth behind your lines.
I don’t want to be Per Gessle and go to promo in the US.

And I hoped for a proper promotion in the US *sigh*

This new Roxette CD will be released here under complete anonymity. I’ve checked the local record shops here in New York and I have not found even one that has included the Rox CD on their upcoming release board. Store employees have never even heard of it. Billboard magazine and their web site have no mention of it. Ditto for VH1 and MTV. Capitol Records web site lists the new Rox CD but still has no release date. I’ve never heard One Wish on any radio station other than when Per hosted a spot on satellite radio. Do a Yahoo! News search for Roxette and you’ll find no more than 1 newspaper mention of the upcoming release and that one’s from Kansas City! There are no mentioned media or promotion bookings listed for Per anywhere here in the States. The writing is on the wall. This greatest hits CD will have absolutely no traction and will be completely irrelevant on the U.S. music scene.
