In the UK and Australia probably Kylie nowadays. Worldwide it would still have to be Madonna. I much prefer Kylie though

Thinking about it, does anyone remember the girl from Eighth Wonder, Patsy Kensit. She sucked at singing, but some of her stuff was great produced by PSB. She was a hot lady as well :-)

and how about that “adoption thing”. Not to be outdone by other dumb American celebs like Brad Pit and Aneglina Joli, Madonna decided to go to Africa to adopt a child herself.... who already had a father....what a joke!

And how about that “fake” British accent of hers. lol

I mean how can she not make people sick to their stomach by her persona alone.... not to mention her crappy music

I still say they both suck real bad, pretentious American and British pop stars, overhyped and overblown.... though Madonna did have more profound melodies I think. But they both suck as I said.

Even if I had to pick a UK singer I would go with Kim Wilde. Her song “You Came” (original 80’s version) is great, I love it more than anything from Madonna or Kylie

And hey, Kate Ryan is also great, she did cover Mylene ’s song :-)

I couldn´t agree more. Celine is the Vocal-Diva. Her music is great and she´s an amazing human being. She sings like an angel.
Though in comercial terms I must choose Madonna. Kilie might be going for a ggod moment but Madonna is unbeatable.Noone has had her hability to be on the spotlight during her entire carrer.

I won’t even mention French singers of the 80’s like Jeanne Mas, Jackie Quartz, Corynne Charby, Stephanie....they are all better too

They are the queens of commercial and forgettable music, music that you play today and forget tomorrow. It is more business than music, indeed. But they are not the queens of pop in any way.

If you are talking about voice and real singing talent I would say Celine Dion and Whitney Houston.
