Cooper ... not my favourite song, but one of my all time high-songs :)
I love it! When I listen to it, it feels like being a little bit dark, and sometimes it sounds so sad, but it’s so wonderful!
And yes, it reminds on “Where the wild roses grow” ...
I don’t mean those songs are the same, but a similar style, both are dark and blue and sad but so tender!

It’s an existential statement about the fact that (most) women are a living contradiction of themselves. They say they want something, but logically, that thing is impossible to provide to them based upon something else they want. In other words, they want things both ways. Said another way, they “want to have their cake and eat it too”.

When all the flowers have cried, this is the person on the other side of the phone talking saying this, so I think that this means that when everyone that loved and cared for Cooper has come over “what have happened to Cooper” then everything will be back to normal, so actually he is telling us that something has happened to Cooper but no-one knows this yet

According to Gessle that is typical of her and that is why he follows with the conclusion: “her words were always so small.”
