Aah... I love Cooper. It has style.
BSB should close their mouths when they are talking to Roxette=)

It could also mean , don’t argue with me , don’t say a word across....

OK, the music of this songs reminds me a lot to Where the wild roses grow of K. Minogue and N. Cave. And when I heard “Everything will be alright. When all the flowers have cried.” i thought hmmmm well, Per was inspired 100% on this song....

EDITED
“Shut your mouth when you talk to me” - yes, I think it means don’t argue with me...

Cooper ... not my favourite song, but one of my all time high-songs :)
I love it! When I listen to it, it feels like being a little bit dark, and sometimes it sounds so sad, but it’s so wonderful!
And yes, it reminds on “Where the wild roses grow” ...
I don’t mean those songs are the same, but a similar style, both are dark and blue and sad but so tender!

Well, the music’s alright...
Otherwise I’d say it’s a lame song.
PerFanatic said on January 3, 2002 06:23:
I’ll tell you what that line means...
It’s an existential statement about the fact that (most) women are a living contradiction of themselves. They say they want something, but logically, that thing is impossible to provide to them based upon something else they want. In other words, they want things both ways. Said another way, they “want to have their cake and eat it too”.
Gee, I’m not bitter, am I?

animalkingdom - lame? well. that’s your opinion. But so many people think it is great song. (me too). This is one of the songs that made me real Roxette fan and it is still my favourite from both HAND & RS.

“Shut your mouth when you talk to me”.
well..... it actually means that Per is able to talk by telepathy..... and it is very unpolite to talk with open mouth if you are telepathic
arnie said on January 3, 2002 06:38:
Can’t you see?
Per is a prisioner and the cooper is the only person who can talk.

Shut your mouth when you talk to me - The part that follows that, “her words were always so small”. Looking at it that it is the neighbour saying this, he is actually discribing Cooper to us, she shouldn’t have done something like this because it cost her.
When all the flowers have cried, this is the person on the other side of the phone talking saying this, so I think that this means that when everyone that loved and cared for Cooper has come over “what have happened to Cooper” then everything will be back to normal, so actually he is telling us that something has happened to Cooper but no-one knows this yet
that is what i think

to PerFanatic: geee....that was deep. :) Still I have known men who behave quite similar to your description :)
rox74ever said on January 3, 2002 17:47:
you know i think maybe it means she didnt think before talking so she would often contradict herself..
and i also think its a sad song, but also kinda scary:
“All the white wolves were smiling”
dont you think?
tinytim said on January 20, 2002 07:52:
Probably means that Cooper was nazist or maybe Per has some relation with Professor X, from X-Men, after all, he’s a telephatic guy or something.

Perfanatic, very nice interpretation...I have met many, many women like that...uh...it can be so frustrating.

that’s what makes it so fun Bruthas!!!
the darkness the sweetness the sadness the weakness....

My opinion:
” Shut your mouth when you talk to me” is what Cooper sometimes said when she was in a fight.
According to Gessle that is typical of her and that is why he follows with the conclusion: “her words were always so small.”
BTW, I love a topic like this!!!
