Should Roxette Tour Now or Wait For...

another album to come out? I’ve been watching a lot of Youtube concerts on Roxette and I just got this feeling that they really should go for it. Marie is technically back, right? I know, she wants to play it “low” but I think deep down inside she misses that thrill, that attention from the audience. I mean, come on, she owns that stage after the second song during a tour. If they went on tour now they would stand out again because everything on the radio here in the USA is wanna be U2’s trying to claim the throne from them. Coldplay, the killers, and on and on..., the guitars sound the same!!–“Edge’s” nitch. Roxette always stood out because of the music and it was always that kinky guitar riff in almost all their songs that we, the fans, fell in love with–almost every song!!! Roxette, for some advice, do it now before you never do it again. Now is the time to show the world the “real” catchy material that won’t leave anyones head!!! josh.(myspace/sloveproject) you and the tube :o)

Let’s see: Marie is back fine, She wants to take it all slow (even though she missses the thrill of all the tours) .... but what’s the point in expecting a tour when Roxette themselves have no plans to do one whatsoever...
They need to wait until the time is right and the will from Per and Marie is in sync. They must both feel it’s right to do it....
Not only will they wait but also will we WAIT for it and until then let’s not push things too much, not expect too high and do what Marie is doing ... take one day at the time. How hard can that be?
U2 and Coldplay have their own act and their own stuff and they do hwat they wanna do ... Roxette don’t have to follow their lead. These groups have gone through different paths in comparasion to Roxette’s. Let’s look at Roxette with they have to offer and not to what are no offering/doing.
If they should tour or not it’s up to them to decide .... until then we all wait...

Oh for God’s sake! There’s no use speculating about a tour (quite unlikely, in my opinion) and a new album (a bit more realistic). Do people keep forgetting what Marie has been through?!
We should be happy that Marie is still here and that she feels good enough to release Solo-CDs and record two new songs with Per...

Thread 1,764,987 regarding a tour. Why??? When/If there is going to be a tour then they’ll announce one. When/If there is going to be a new album they’ll announce it.
And people keep bringing up Marie’s illness. Yes she went through a terrible ordeal, and it proves how strong she is thats she now got through the worst of it. But if she didn’t feel like she couldn’t cope with a Roxette comeback, I’m sure she wouldn’t have agreed to it. They’ve always kept fans waiting ages for info on new albums etc. Even in their hay day, I didn’t find out about DBU-GTTC album until about a week before it was released. So nothing has changed there.
I do think that we are going to get a new album next year. A big tour is not gonna happen. Both have said that they don’t really feel like it. But, i still think, maybe a couple of shows here and there (most probably Sweden and Germany).
We’ve just gotta keep our fingers crossed and wait and see what the future holds. We ain’t seen the last of them though.....

I think I was writing a related opinion at the same time.

Hope you’re right but I don’t believe in a Roxette Tour or new album soon.
