It started as a joke because Scott was sent the video... but then as people requested the song, he thought it would be a laugh to try to get it released. With the Hoffs permission, he went ahead... and it worked.
I don’t think he really had any intention of doing anymore than drawing the publics attention to this truly awful music video!

quite simple, because radio 1 (or scott mills to be more exact) is backing it, mainly as pisstake it has to be said, but he has launched a campaign to get it to nr 1. Not much chance of a radio 1 dj backing roxette though unfortunately.
