Oh My God!!! How funny is this character!!! She’s the little fashion designer in The Incredibles. Can’t stop watching her scenes!! Hilarious!!!
Some quotes:
“Yes, words are useless! Gobble-gobble-gobble-gobble-gobble! Too much of it, darling, too much! That is why I show you my work! That is why you are here! “
“Edna:I didn’t know the baby’s powers so I covered the basics.
Helen: Jack-Jack doesn’t have any powers.
Edna: No? Well, he’ll look fabulous anyway.”
“Edna: You need a new suit, that much is certain.
Bob: A new suit? Well, where the heck am I gonna get a new suit?
Edna: You can’t! It’s impossible! I’m far too busy, so ask me now before I again become sane.
Bob: Wait? you want to make me a suit?
Edna: You push too hard, darling! But I accept!”
If you haven’t seen her, watch the film. So funny!!

Great character, and yes, Brad Bird directed and voiced her.
I always think of Linda Hunt when I see her. She too is very sort, has a deep, husky voice, and I have seen her in that pageboy haircut. The name might not ring a bell, but you’ve most likely seen her in something.

I think the director once mentioned that Edna was based on the real person. If I’m not mistaken, it’s based from their own custom designer (pls correct me if I’m wrong).

@ MM : Yeah, with that hair style and glasses Linda surely looked like Edna.
(This is out of topic, but I’m still amazed Linda’s character in The Year of Living Dangerously, where she played as a man.)

Yes, I like her alot. She’s so funny. I was surprised to find out that the director, Brad Bird (Or something) was doing the voice :)
