UK Tour???

Will Roxette ever have another UK tour?....... we can live in hope, can’t we?

Thats a shame, because there are still thousands of people here who saw them last time, and i for one would walk through fire to get the chance again. They are the best live band i’ve seen and i’ve seen a few........ Lets see how things go with Marie and here’s praying we see them on our shores again.

I don’t see it happening, and unlike some of you I never got to see them. The ’You Know You Are A Roxette Fan When’ board had ’you will sell your first born to get a ticket’- wait! I am the first born!
If they play, I’m going to have to do some serious sucking up...

Luckily i got to see them twice at the NEC in Birmingham. They were absolutely awesome and MARIE was stunning, both vocally and visually.

Whats the betting they’ll just do German and Swedish shows? That would be the ultimate anticlimax...
rox-kuryliw said on August 9, 2006 12:04:
can hope but i doubt it, personally i think rox should do a close small private gig like launch of rs for the UK fans. that would be a hit.
Vixzter said on August 9, 2006 12:10:
whats the betting they do any tour at all?? ;-)
although i wonder what the status is with doing that last night of the proms thing
Dave_Rox said on August 9, 2006 12:10:
I totally agree, maybe they wouldn’t fill the NEC but a smaller arena like the NIA or Symphony hall and similar locations would be a hit. They would sell the tickets no problem.
Vixzter said on August 9, 2006 12:11:
unfortunately the numbers of uk rox fans would more likely be in the hundreds now rather than the thousands.
Dave_Rox said on August 9, 2006 12:16:
I’m not so sure, if they marketed it properly i think people would be very interested. I’m sure the older generation would jump at the chance as i’ve mentioned before. Afterall the old rock bands stil sel don’t they? and they don’t release any new albums.
whateveriam said on August 9, 2006 12:24:
Depeche do, even though they are more successful in the States and Europe now... they sold out all 3 UK dates.
Vixzter said on August 9, 2006 12:27:
you see the key line there is:
“if they marketed it properly”
To be honest I wouldn’t blame them for not doing endless amounts of promo in a country that has never really appreciated them and where they’ve never had a #1 hit single.
why flog a dead horse?
*awaits another greatest hits package*

Vixzter,
I agree with what you say, maybe i’m being selfish................... i would just like to see them live one last time and have Marie sing ’Perfect day’ to me.
I know its sad,but i had a tatoo of her on my back in 1993 and i still gets positive comments about it.
whateveriam said on August 9, 2006 13:26:
Well, keep fingers crossed-in the meantime I’m going to try to see everyone I can who still plays... Next ones The Human League...

It’s true the UK public have been fed a diet
of mindless pap on the radio & tv for so long that
most of us have forgotten what good music is.

I’d like to put a long compliacted answer but the simple answer is No with a capital N
