(the following episode to patiente x): the rebels aliens?? why do they burn up the people if they are the resistence ?? they are good alines, rebels ones against the colonization...if the are rebels, but good aliens, why do they burn up the people??!!! help!!!!! thx! :)

Season 5 includes Patient X and The Red and The Black.
The synopsis for Patient X is:

This is part 1 of 2, The Red and The Black being part 2, with the synopsis of:
Pursuing a threat to Scully, Mulder is drawn into a dangerous confrontation with creatures whose existence could expose the conspiracy surrounding extraterrestrial life.
I’m going to guess these are the episodes you are referring to about the “faceless aliens” who have blinded themselves and sewn their mouths shut (the resistance) to prevent infection by the black oil.

The ‘good’ aliens that you speak of were only burning the people who had the IMPLANTS put in them by the government (or whoever you believe abducted them, many seasons ago) when they did the freaky experiments etc(re: Scullys abduction in season 2) Only the humans with the implants were ‘summoned’ to the places where they were burned, so they must be some kind of threat to the ‘faceless’ aliens & that is why they were being burned.
There was supposed to be some kind of ‘fight’ (if you can call it that) between the aliens, the ‘faceless’ ones, the black oil, the greys, the shapeshifters etc about who was going to take over earth, and the government was trying to be in league with all the alien races so that it could survive the takeover...
...and I am going to shut up now because people are looking at me like I am a geek!!!

@klair: Oh, those were the days... You rule! I totally forgot all those details... I used to be a real XF geek, knowing names of every episodes, most of the lines (especially in the movie) by heart, hm I even counted how many times M & S used to say certain ’repetative’ lines in all the episodes.... LOL, I had too much spare time back then.... And no Internet! ;))

A friend of mine has recently started to watch all the seasons, and is talking about it...haven’t watched any in years, but my DVDS are calling to me......there is so much shite on TV at the moment, I feel a bit of a XF retrospect coming on... :)

... yep, i remember the abductions and so, and it was the goverment..( first believed to be the aliens, then the goverment..and now, at this episodies of the 5th season..believed to be the alines again).... in those episodies the people who has the implants say they are like feeling the ” call of the wild ” ( a little of rox! ) and that´s why they are going to those mountains, and then , when they are there, they are burnt..... so...who are calling these people through those implants, those chips? the aliens?? if those chips are implanted by the goverment, why the “aliens” are calling the people to the mountains? .... who is calling to people to gotothe mountains!??!!! haha... do i have to believe that the chips ar eimplanted by the goverment PLUS the aliens? help!!! ...
klair, please,explain more about the colonization... i know it will take place in “15 years” counting from the 5th season,but the “bad men” say that it is taking place now.... who will take the colonization on earth? the “bad ” aliens, the “faceless” 8nocuz the are the resistence to the colonization)..resistence to who?? .....

i watched a lotof x files wheni was a teen, and i thought to understand everything,but now that i got the 9 season on dvd, i start step by step, season by season, and i´m stuck on those episodies, haha... i know if i keep watching maybe i find the explanation , but i wanted it now!! haha...

@britnito I don’t know if I can answer all your questions, as some things we are never told. Such as you say: “who are calling these people through those implants, those chips?” “who will take the colonization on earth?” “who is threating the “faceless”... and why?” we are never actually TOLD, that is part of the fun! All that we ever get to know is that there is many different ’kinds’ of aliens and they all want to take over the planet, and are fighting with each other. And the government is trying to become ’allies’ with certain alien races to protect itself, so it can survive when they take over. The problem is, if an alien race that is enemies with the government manages to take over the world, then they are screwed!
Personally, I never really cared much for the alien conspiracy. It all got too confusing in the end, I much prefered the other stories about weird stuff!!

The issue seems to revolve around money etc.
Duchovny, Anderson, Pileggi, and others have reprised their roles as Special Agent Fox William Mulder, Special Agent Dana Katherine Scully, and Assistant Director Walter S. Skinner.
The hold up appears to be with Chris Carter himself. Last I knew, Anderson was doing theatre in London, and is happily married (again). Duchovny’s been doing films / television here in the States. I’ve seen Pileggi do tv shots as well.
William B. Davis (CSM) has done some other sci-fi work. Langley (of the Lone Gunmen) does conventions and stuff (he was recently in Denver, Colorado for Starfest).
So, as soon as Carter gets his shit together, we MIGHT see a second movie.

the script is done..., the contracts are signed, everything is done...but the little legals problems between Carter and Fox tv..

My answer to your question would be, so that people could actually start questioning what’s going on and discover the colonization. But I also think that even those rebbels didn’t care much about humans. So... hm... could be something else though.... Now, come to think about it more, I think it has something to do with the black oil. Hm, might be a good time to start watching XF again, I seemed to forgot things. :-/
