Duos that have come and gone between 1986-2006

What duos can people think of that formed during or after 1986 and have split since?or any that have stayed together since apart from Roxette.
Shampoo 1994-1996 had a hit with Trouble UK#11
Scarlet 194-1996 had a hit with independent love song UK#12
Quentin and Ash(from Men Behaving Badly)had one hit with Tell Him in 1996 UK#25
Savage Garden 1997-2001 had many hits including to the moon and back UK#3
Kylie and Jason 1988 had a hit with Especially For You UK#1
Los Del Rio had one hit with Macerena UK#2 US #1 in 1996
Jemini had one hit in 2003 with Cry Baby UK#15
Alishas Attic had several hits including I Am I Feel UK#14 between 1996-2001
Anymore that people can think of?

Twenty-4-Seven. (Slave to the music) I saw recently that they now released a greatest hits compilation. I didn’t know they had any hits apart from that one...
davidc4 said on May 24, 2006 08:20:
2 unlimited ha ha yeah they were sort of 2 if you dont count the producers.
another duo was Corona who had a few hits the biggest being The Rhythm Of The Night UK#2
davidc4 said on May 24, 2006 20:41:
yes f bontempi was the producer and olga de souza was the vocalist.

Los del Río still exist, and existed long before Macarena came out internationally. They must be around 40 years together already... judging by their age.
In fact the “Macarena” song you all know is a remix of their song (Sevillana style) also named “Macarena” that was released in Spain at least 2 years prior to the international release.

davidc4 said on May 25, 2006 11:35:
Santi..............Thats me corrected then lol..............................but as far as most of the world is concerned nothing more was heard of them...........................probably a good thing ha ha
Santi said on May 25, 2006 13:40:
Yes, well, but by those rules Roxette starts in 1989 and ended 2002...
By the way, with “Corona” happens the same as with Roxette, or like with Amaral here in Spain.
If you choose a name for the duo that sounds like the name of a girl, and there is a girl singing, more often than not most people is going to think that the singer is called Corona, Roxette or Amaral. I didn’t know Corona was a duo either.
rox-kuryliw said on May 25, 2006 14:12:
i have coronas album and she is the only one on the cover ect ? just looked again, loved her song ’baby baby’., so euro pop lol
davidc4 said on May 25, 2006 14:57:
if you go to a site called Wikipedia and look them up enter Olga Souza in the search and you will find out that Corona are a Italy/Brazil vocal/production duo that is made up of F.Bontempi AKA Lee Marrow who does the intruments and production and Olga da Souza who provides the vocals and is the public face of the group.i have both of their albums The Rhytm Of The Night and Walking On Music and they are great.they did make another 3rd that wasnt released.
davidc4 said on May 25, 2006 14:59:
santi....point taken lol ok we will forget about Los Del Rio they arent eligable anymore as they are still together.
Majdy said on May 25, 2006 15:19:
About M2M, I think one of the singer (the one with long brunette hair) had an solo album. I saw her videos several times, but not really in to it. She tried to have a “Rock” sound, but it just didn’t work.
Santi said on May 25, 2006 15:19:
I know Wikipedia, I just don’t stop to look up all the information available on every single female singer that happens to appear the whole time on the video under a woman’s name in case it is actually a duo! :D
rox-kuryliw said on May 25, 2006 15:22:
Wikipedia is not a good source for clarified info as anyone can change it to what ever they say ! were not allowed to use the program to back up information on my uni course.
Santi said on May 25, 2006 15:30:
As I took you away 1 duo, I’ll give you two for your collection:
- Milli Vanilli
- Modern Talking
And one from Spain that roughly matches the dates you said and who were much better musicians than Los del Río (lol I hate Los del Río :DDD):
- Duncan Dhu
davidc4 said on May 25, 2006 15:34:
Well any way Corona were a duo also the book Guinness British Hit Singles and Albums list them as a Male/Female vocal/production duo with the following singles and album
1994 The Rhythm Of The Night #2
1995 Baby Baby #5
1995 Try Me Out #6
1995 I Dont Wanna Be A Star #22
1997 Megamix #36
album
The Rhythm Of The Night #18
harrassed said on May 25, 2006 15:40:
after some research it does seem that Corona are indeed a duo but are in fact a whole unit of producers and musicians so Corona are almost a band and not just one woman as most people think so davidc4 you are right to list them as a duo
i looked on Wikipedia and found the following link
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/corona_%28musical_project%29
davidc4 said on May 25, 2006 15:45:
cheers harrassed you found the wiki page.
does anybody out there remember Scarlet who had hits with
Independent Love Song #14
I Wanna Be Free To Be With Him #21
Love Hangover #54
Bad Girl #54
they also ahd 2 albums Naked and Chemistry which were good
also see http://www.womrecords.it/
and click on the bit that says biography
rox-kuryliw said on May 25, 2006 16:01:
it says on the link for corona , in big letters she is a 1 women group !? how strange :-s
davidc4 said on May 25, 2006 16:03:
if you read the wholle of both links you will see what type of group they are as will anyone else who reads it.
also the link that i posted if you go to BIOGRAPHY section it states that francesco Bontempi writes and arranges the groups songs and Olga De Souza is the vocalist actually
Santi said on May 25, 2006 16:08:
Taken from Wikipedia:
“Olga Souza (project presenter/possibly vocals), Sandra Chambers (author of songs/possibly vocals);”
So nobody really knows if she was singing or was that Sandra Chambers?
harrassed said on May 25, 2006 16:10:
Rox-kuryliw....it would seem that you like winding people up.
davidc4 is right about Corona if you read both my link and Davidc4s link you will clearly see that it says about Olga De Souza being the main vocalist in Corona and F.Bontempi being the producer and arranger.on davic4s link it also says if you read on that both f.bontempi and Olga De Souza had a meeting and after this they started working on the Corona project.thus making them 2 musicians working together 2=duo.
animalkingdom said on May 25, 2006 16:23:
@ anyone going on about Corona
Would that make Roxette a trio then? You know, we should definitely not forget Clarence’s input in the band!

davidc4 said on May 25, 2006 16:42:

I don’t think they qualify for the 86 - 06 but:
Eurythmics. Of sorts. They’ve split and gotten back together a couple of times.
