1. Black Adder
2. Red Drawf
3. Ab Fab
4. Allo Allo
5. French & Saunders ( when they were funny, not the last series though!)

Allo Allo must be one of the best comedies I recall!! I still LOL when I think of some of the chapters. God!!

Dunno when running times were but:

Are You Being Served?
As Time Goes By
Keeping Up Appearances
M*A*S*H*

did anyone see the ’roesanne’ show with ’Ab fab’ in it, SO funny.

spooks: ah yes M*A*S*H was excellent aLSO

1 - Friends
2 - Ab Fab
3 - Game On
4 - Allo Allo
5 - Keeping Up Appearances

There’s many more I could add, but this is a Top 5, so I won’t!

cant think..... my faves were

1. Ab Fab
2. Alan Partridge/Steeve Coogan/knowin me knowing u

but i also watched Allo Allo, sometimes Black Adder, Monty Python, Rosanne, Keeping up appearances, Brittas Empire

oh also liked Birds of Feather and Bread (altho most things went over my head)

also LOVED Reeves & MOrtimer big night out, before Shooting Stars altho that was good too.

my favourites are as follows

bless this house
man about the house
george & mildred
the benny hill show
the kenny everett show

i just prefer the 70’s classics

ah kenny everett .....genious! :-)

u spelt genius wrong lol u shud av put jeeniuss haha

If Friends counts then I guess SEINFELD does as well.

Well for me

1. Everybody Loves Raymond (is that too recent)
2. Fawlty Towers
3. Keeping Up Appearances
4. Seinfeld
5. Friends

For me

-Mind Your Language
-Lauphing Samoans (Old School)
-Less than perfect
-Third Rock from the Sun

I can go way back... So backward:

1- Friends
2- Men behaving badly (u.s version, simply love it)
3- Perfect strangers
4- Night Court
5- Happy Days

That was so long ago...

Blossom
2 Point 4 Children
Birds Of A Feather
Love Thy Neighbour (currently watching the DVD...)
Saved By The Bell... (now that is going back at bit)

Friends
Blackadder
Monty Python
Red dwarf
Birds of a feather
Though i did also like The upper hand!
Totally agree with Plectrum about Kenny Everett - (though i remember i had mad nightmares about him chasing me as a vampire!!!) & Ally, Saved by the bell was wicked!!!!!!! Was up early every Sat morning to watch that!!!!!!!!

Married With Children

Although I caught a bit of an episode a couple of years ago and it was so not funny. Obviously a program that appealed to juvenile humour.

Ab Fab

I still watch Ab Fab now and then. I will never get over the Poor episode.

Keeping Up Appearances

I only started watching this when I discovered it on BBC America but now own the box set and find it hilarious.

Seinfeld

littlespooky

M*A*S*H*!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I still cringe when I hear the theme tune. I hated it with a passion. It has been so long since I have been subjected to a second of it but don’t actually remember it being a comedy. Was it?

1. Chewin the fat
2. Fawlty Towers.
3. The Royle Family
4. Gimme Gimme Gimme
5. Only fools and horses

I detest ’Friends’...the most unfunny piece of tripe ever to be made. I really dont understand what people find funny about this....in fact american comedies in general are pretty rubbish. (though i do remember liking Rosanne years ago, and there is another one that escpaes me at the moment) I like comedies with a bit more irony and clever humour.

ab fab
The Royle Family
gimmie gimmie gimmie
vicar of dibley
one foot in the grave :-)

oops mine all are british i wouldnt of guessed they would be as i do like some american sitcoms i guess not enough.

Would love to have Saved By The Bell on DVD, lots of old memories from watching that!

You mentioning Saved By The Bell has reminded me of Heartbreak High. I used to love that programme, and had a massive crush on Jodie!!

Heartbreak high, as in the aussie show??

Yeah, that’s right Rob. I used to love it. But only saw the first series, and half of the 2nd. I’ve even got the soundtrack somewhere. Not very good, and if I remember rightly, I only brought it for the 2 songs that Jodie sung!

Used to watch some of Heartbreak High, but never really got into it...

Anyone remember Shortland Street?
