Well i saw this movie tonight, as i heard over the weekend in the US it bombed, i adore sharon stone and thought bugger it i still wanna see it, Im SO glad i did see it tonight.
Its more classy than the first , VERY british , which i think is one of the major problems why america didnt like it much, They is laugh out loud british humour and lots of twists and complex characters involved which drives the story on and on to a new ending, its cheap and classy at the same time, Its like watching a thriller novel on the big screen.
I took my bf who never saw the first one, and he loved it from a view of never seeing the first. sharon was great and see looked great (nice to see a real women on screen) with the intense yet cool as ice hot as an oven catherine in the film, plays well next to the other main character who is the opposite to her (well at the begining ;-) )

it bombed here beacus sequels in gernerl do poorly and well you can’t outdo the first its a clut classic...snd alot of people can’t quite forgive sharon for doing catwoman lol

Well i think this out does the first film by far !
As an ameican coyboy have you seen the second one ? which in my view (fan of both) found them both very culturely different, and prefered the second.
As for catwomen, sharon was the best thing about the movie.

don’t get me wrong I love sharon but movies liek basic instinct totally eclipse the actress she is, I loved her on the practice as a schizophrenic lawyer...i actually liked cat woman one of the few I think :)

I’m disappoined that they make a sequel of this movie. I think it doesn’t need one. I love Basic Instict, but I want to remember Sharon Stone’s character based on the first Basic Instict, making a sequel only make her character not “sexy” and “mysterious” anymore.

I haven’t seen it, and probably won’t. It got a - (minus) in Aftonbladet and VERY FEW movies get that...

Tev: If I went along with what critics said, I would have liked Arachnophobia.
Instead, I walked out of the movie at about 20 minutes into it and said “To hell with that crap.”

LOL i love all the films critics hate, Infact what are critics, i think its amazing how they infulence so many people even though they are just people with an opinion themselves , strange ? no ?
