I'm so tired with this (and very mad)

Arrrgggggghhhh..... lately I just hate check my inbox cuz there are always some emails said about they left their money in the USA and can’t go back again here, so they need me to cash it, and I will get USD 7 million or even more....
So, they need me to tell my name, phone, banks that I have access to and bla bla bla...
yesterday I got at least 5 emails from different email address with the different stories, but the point is about helping them cash the money... and tonight I got two more.... I have mark their emails as spam, but it just kept coming :P :P :P
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr....

I’m glad I don’t believe it, but i just hope I could make them stop :P :P :P
Everytime I mark that as spam, another one came WITH different email address. This is so frustrating, but I just don’t want to change my email :P :P :P

Basically, all you can do is continue to mark them as spam. I get those, viagra / ciallis ads, porn ads and all that other crap. I have IncrediMail and it has a Block / Bounce to sender. I use that and what it does is block the address, and then sends the e-mail BACK to THEM. Piss them off for a while ;o)

Get the Thunderbird mail client. It’s excellent and learns what is SPAM or not. http://www.mozilla.com

i think its so funny spam email, i opened one the other day in front of my mum and it was porn to see women naked ect. she said ’i would be shocked by this porn and you looking for it, but i know its nothing to do with you cos your gay’. lol.

I’ve been frustrated by all the pharmacy spam I get too. It’s ridiculous. And now something with the stock market. . .
It’s frustrating that some sites have a place to email them and stop the spam, most of these don’t. Even if you send a request to take you off their list they don’t.
The other frustrating thing is the ridiculous names obviously generated by some computer like Washcloth P. Scrubber so even if you try to filter them, it doesn’t have the proper address to stop them from coming through. Do the programs you suggested block those mailers? I’d love to bounce back to those bastards their own crap.
LittleSpooky said on January 30, 2006 00:01:
You can get it free, or you can buy the bundle for a price (it’s a life-time subscription thing, pay once... bam that’s it).
Under “Message” it has “Block / Bounce to Sender”. You can select the message(s), click block and also select bounce and it will make them think your email isn’t valid... and bounces the message back to them. Sometimes I get an error message from Norton that says the address is invalid (NO SHIT), but I just click okay and delete the message with no troubles.
Majdy said on January 30, 2006 00:54:
I’ll try the program you guys mention. Thanks! but I also like the idea of writing them back and pissed them off :D
denny said on January 30, 2006 06:36:
I wish Yahoo could do that bouncing thing.
I had spam problems few years ago and I used to open every single spam message and unsubscribe and it actually worked and my Inbox was clean for a very long time and I didn’t have to use Spam folder at all. But then I was stupid enough to try some things and left my email couple of times on some stupid sites and now, I get more spam than ever. But the problem this time is that it just doesn’t work with this unsubscribe thing anymore... :( So, I keep my Spam folder and browse it from time to time (cause some messages that ARE for me finnished in there for couple of times...). And yes, it is very annoying.
Majdy, I wish you luck with fighting it.
p.s. I almost fell for that money thing email but I wanted to check it out first (it was long ago and noone I knew ever heard of it) so I wrote them back asking a few questions but they never answered. LOL Probably because it say’s that I’m from USA on my email account but I told them I was from Serbia (meaning no use from me, hehe).

Maj: Do me a favour, would you? Could you e-mail me at some point in time and I’ll give you a couple of suggestions? I don’t have time to explain it here as I have a birthday party to go to for a 6 y.o. and a 4 y.o. (my brother’s little girls :o) ).
Vixzter said on February 12, 2006 19:00:
sending spam emails back often doesn’t work as it just confims to the sender that the email address is live so you get sent more shite
roxtexanet said on February 13, 2006 02:01:
Vix is right... those “unsubscribe” things are just a flag saying, “Yes, I check this account all the time!” Also, avoid those e-card sites like the plague!! Some of them actually have it written right into their user agreement that you’re signing up for spam when you use the service (the really demonic ones steal the RECIPIENT’s address too!).
I’ve found two solutions work for me (for the most part). First, open up an account for “high risk” activities... anything where you’re even a little uncertain of how your e-mail will be used, give ’em that one. I include signing up for accounts for message boards in here, as well as anything to do with rebates, freeware/shareware downloads, etc.
The second thing that seems to work is to just stop using a spam-ridden account for awhile. I stopped using my Hotmail for about a year and now it’s almost completely free of spam. Of course, they also improved their spam blocker, so.... but it can’t hurt. If you don’t send messages from an account, you reduce the chance of your address getting forwarded to someone bad. And make sure you let your friends know NOT to send you e-greetings!!!!
LittleSpooky said on February 14, 2006 00:47:
Maj: Sent you a reply. :o)
It’s good stuffs :o)
And this is what happens when you get pissed off with your provider and start hunting at 2:30am on your day off.

THANKYOU for saying that Roxtexanet!!! My friends send me those stupid things and they fill my inbox with crap too. They are pointless, it’s always a silly cartoon with “Merry Christmas Marie!” I feel guilty if I don’t open them since my friend took the time, but they’re so boring! If any of my friends are reading here, STOP SENDING ME THOSE THINGS! Just send me an email to say Happy Birthday, sheesh.
LittleSpooky said on February 24, 2006 07:31:
Maj: How did those work out for you, btw?
Spar: Damn... *makes a note to remove you from the e-greeting list*. ;o)

Try mailinator when you know you’ll be getting lots of junk mail. I love it! mailinator address is http://www.mailinator.com then you don’t have to deal with it
I don’t like Thunderbird (Outlook, etc) because once you download the music you cannot keep it online which is not good for me because I use multiple computers.
plectrum said on March 20, 2006 09:10:
@ majdy...can you adjust your pc so that you only accept emails from people you know?
roxlad said on March 20, 2006 22:48:
I have a separe e-mail address I use when I buy stuff or when I log to stupid sites and that’s where I get all the spam but it’s ok because I never check that e-mail inbox!
And I have another e-mail address I use for family and friends and that’s always clean!
Majdy said on March 20, 2006 23:44:
I’ve been pretty satisfied doing what LS suggested. I also now have special account when I’m about to sign up for things in internet. But thanks!!
On to another thing, my hubby lately got message that really looked like Ebay! It said that he bought something from them and didn’t pay! The point is, they trying to trick him by saying that they’re gonna report him to Ebay. Well, I just wanted to share this story to all Ebay members here (also PayPal, Amazon, etc) so you won’t be fooled by those spam.
LittleSpooky said on March 21, 2006 07:14:
I’ve been getting a lot of e-mails saying: “We bought this from you..” and I’m like
Dude... I haven’t sold a THING on eBay, but thanks!
