20th anniversary-new greatest hit

ok, everyone knows about the 20th roxette’s anniversary. and per talked about a new greatest hits.
ok, we have a lot of roxette greatest hits and i’m sure it will be another one this year (Roxette=Compilation band).
beacause of that, i think that if Per want to do another compilation, he must do it well. why never put pearls of pasion singles?? and “i want you” song?? the look 95?? Fingertips 93???

ok, please, do a correct compilation if you want to do another one. the best and last in years, please compilation of Roxette.

and a lot of forgotten songs, that per and marie have at home for sure.

and of course, if GT has had a new compilation, and a new album, why not roxette???

I wouldn’t bet on a GH. Even if it is, I don’t think my money will go there.

I am thinking of an album very much like PG and MF recent offering (in terms of style but minus the self-introspection) but more roxette. To think about it, I am way over the thought of the more successful roxette but more into what kind of music that I get from both of them these days.

Anyway, SOAP impresses me much. Way to go PG!!!

Per is affirmative about releasing the “roxbox” for the 20th Roxette aniversary in the “ask per” section on the soap site.

If it will be a GH I won’t buy it directly. I am so tired of all hte GH albums! I just hope for some fab new songs on it. That’s all.

What do you think of something like “the look ´05”?

we had more than enough... I won’t buy it and I will convince everybody not to buy it...

why on earth do we need another hits package? what we need is a rox box, or a series of dvds, or a new album, roxettes break has been unfortunately long and if they come back with another hits package they are basically finished in terms of the international market, especially with how fickle buyers are

If Bad Hair Day continues to give us, the fans, some demos, possibly even of Gyllene Tider or Roxette tracks, then can we not get together and support Roxette in their next project, even if it is a Greatest Hits with some new tracks?? Let’s get behind our band!! Best wishes, Rich ;-)

Not another greatest hits! We’ve got some already. It would be more interesting some “strange songs” never heard before.

Well said Rich :-)

definately not the hits again, they should come up with new songs, sumthing we haven’t heard b4,

@rich: That is also true. And I really want to stay behind my band, but it is not easy after all the GH we already had.... I admit that it bores me a little bit.

not another GH, if they do , thay have to do a single collection not a ghts. so all the singles ever released. in the single edit.

I think it would be better to have a “Best” collection of their or fans’ favourites, not the singles. They have wonderful album tracks. For me Come back before you leave is The Roxette Sound, that unique mixture of a tragic ballad singing with an ice-cream up-tempo background. And what about The sweet hello? The rain? What’s she like? Do you get excited?
Breathe. Bla bla bla. Jefferson. Waiting for the rain. There were so many unofficial compilations out there with album songs. Like Cinnamon street. Or Things will never be the same. Why not make an official one. After last compilations it would sound like a new album to newcomers ;)

What about a greatest hits based around remix’s of the songs?? old or new versions really wouldn’t bother me.

what about :

1. New album

or

2. Live album

or BOTH :)

3. Live DVD ;)

Hehe yeah that’d be nice too... ;-)

Just *if* they decided another greatest hits then thats what i’d like :-)

Yes, a live album would be also great. FLAF sounded so nice and I think it would begreat to hear the whole concert.

To come back to my wish about an EP I think it would be great to have the live album as a bonus with it.

Of corse a whole new album would be the best, but I am too afraid to hope for such a big thing....

How about this later in the year?

A Greatest Hits 2CD set is released in the USA. CD1 has 14 greatest hits and 4 new tracks (much like format of “Don’t Bore Us...” but with hits from 1986 to 2003). CD2 has 18 live tracks from various tours (and includes only a few of the hits from CD1). The booklet contains the link to a URL hosted at www.roxette.se with 18 freely available demos to download. In the rest of the world a 4-track EP is released with the new songs including an up-tempo lead single. Per gets his wish of there being a compilation out in the USA, and people in the rest of the world can get all the new material and some great demo recordings even if they don’t want to buy the hits yet again.

All the best, Rich ;-)

demo such compared to the attual song as a whole, im sure they is the odd person that would prefer one of pers demos to the real thing.
