King Kong

Well, now that Brokeback Mountain has gotten 7 Golden Globe nominations including best drama, best actor for Heath Ledger and best supporting actress for Michelle Williams (I wonder if those two had any idea how much this movie would change their lives when they signed up for it!) in addition to a couple of other awards, I guess they don’t have to worry about promotion or being “only” a sleeper hit anymore. ;-)

But back to the real topic: I do plan on watching King Kong, but I have no idea when! If I don’t get the chance to watch it in English, I might wait until the DVD’s out...

Oh, and yeah, I didn’t even recognize Peter Jackson when I saw the first picture of him after he had lost that much weight! I looked at the caption and my first reaction was something along the lines of “Wait, that must be a mistake! That can’t be Peter Jackson!”! *LOL* He looks so much younger now for some reason, I think...

anyone plan to see it? it’s already has so many great reviews. looking forward to see it really soon.

(did u guys see the new pic of Peter Jackson? he looked ssssssooooo thin now!)

i have a strange feeling it will have a big opening week and then tank afterwards

i dont fancy is at all , does nothing for me ! now ’brokeback mountain’ looks interesting :-)

is it a remake of that old b/w movie?

I have to admit, the name puts me off, but the traliers look good!

i bet it could beat Narnia at the Box Office

@ rox-kurlyw :
I plan to see that movie too. I had feelings that it’s gonna be the best drama this year.

i dont think king kong looks children friendly at all to me, i wont be taking my neice to see if anyway !
’brokeback mountain’ looks great, just depends how well its distributed if i can get to see it at my cinema :-( , its contovseral before its even out lol, if not will have to get it on dvd .

I think the old one was too lovely as to go and watch a remake. It may happen like with the War of the Worlds...

I haven’t seen the old one. I am curious about the new one because the trailer looked amazing.

i hope brokeback mountian turns out ot be a sleeper hit. its gotten amazing reviews, and well i am a big jake gyllenhall fan so

whats gonna be really interesting is how peter jackson does the halo movie

peter jackson, is still an ugly scruff , no fat or not LOL

it;s funny how King Kong topic can change into Brokeback Mountain :) but anyway, I am so exited to hear the news about how the movie already domintated the Golden Globe nomination. so, i MUST see it...

back to REAL topic :-)

I first saw Peter Jackson new look in some cover magazine with Naomi Wats. he looked so different!

I red that he lost his weight because he work 21 hours per day during the making of King Kong and eat more Yoghurt and stay away from junk food.

i would i liked to have seen nicole kidman in stead of Naomi Wats, then i may have gone to see it.

Saw it. Loved it. Do NOT take children under the age of 13 or 14 to go see this movie or you’ll be battling nightmares all night.

It’s pretty much a remake of the original 1933 King Kong movie and Kidman would NOT have worked in this movie at all. Watts was the perfect choice. Of course, this last is just my opinion.

I’ll see that in two days!!! yay!
