I wanna tell something to Per: Dear Per I know this is a really bad thing but I already paid for my copy and I‘m waiting the postal mail to get it in my hands. I just downloaded the album and that is because I couldn‘t resist the beauty! I hope you can understand :)
Room_service said on November 24, 2005 19:19:
Eloy: You won’t receive the “Best Fan” prize from Per, you don’t have to prove nothing...
steven said on November 24, 2005 20:18:
Nevermind, I’ve found it via Google...
My goodness, it’s everywhere!

geytenbeek said on November 25, 2005 13:29:
Quick question.... Is it really illegal to download a album that you already purchase. I don’t think so. (But not a legal dude...) I guess if you buy an album, you buy the right to listen to the music... so if that music is played from a song of a CD or a file from the net, as long as it is the same song... you bought the right to listen. So Eloy, if you bought it I don’t think you need to feel bad. Per made his money from you. He will be happy!
Eloy said on November 25, 2005 15:18:
geytenbeek: thank for your comment. I think so but I needed to explain it.
flaviog7 said on November 25, 2005 17:47:
Another torrent has been released, with a good 192 Kb/sec bitrate! :-)
nicolas said on November 25, 2005 18:00:
At least in the moral sense it’s okay to download the files if you bought also the album. I mean you’ve also got the right to make a safety copy for yourself when you buy a CD. But there’s also the fact that in the same moment that you leech an album you seed it for others who will maybe not buy it...
Roxrider_USA said on November 25, 2005 18:02:
The songs I have are from DC++ and they were also ripped at 192kbits/s quality. It’s pretty good.
Just want my album to arrive here in New York so i can listen to the songs wit that perfect 320kbits/s CD quality. That will be awesome.
Take care!

@LoneGunMan:
U’ll be getting a e-mail from José Antonio Boscolo…don’t worry, hehe…that’s my father’s name (and it is that [email protected] one). That way, u’ll have a reference. Through that mail I can send u my addresss and we can ‘arrange’ the whole thing, ok?
Well, I’m asking that ‘dirty’ favor as I said cause I honestly think they won’t release it here. The same happened with the change. U can find it in brazil, but only if you order it in a store. Shame on them!!
But if emi miraculously release it here…I’ll be buying it, of course! I’d do the same for twatg, but I can only import. And hey, I wanna get married with in a couple of years, so I’d rather save money!!! Hehee…
btw...what’s that Skivhugget-thing?
OFF – what happened to those pretty classmates u got? I didn’t see any of them in ur website! The one I asked u to clone, considering the ‘albieri’ last name, remember? Hehehe…

@emilio: Could tell me more about the .flacc file format? Thanks in advance! :-)
Take care!
Carlos E., New York.
emilio said on November 29, 2005 02:33:
@roxrider:
You have two kind of compression codecs, the lossys (mp3, mp3pro, ogg, wma, m4x, atrac, acc) and the lossless. The flac is a lossless format “Free Losseless Audio Codec” it means that is and open source and that the audio is compressed without any lost in sound quality at a ratio of compression ’till 3:1.
There are three major lossless codecs, The above mentiones Flacc, the Windows Media Audio Lossless for the most people the best and then the Monkey Audio.
You could take a deeper glance here:
FLAC wabsite:http://flac.sourceforge.net/
Monkey’s site: http://www.monkeysaudio.com/index.html
Another interesting about audio compression:
http://www.extremetech.com/article2/0,1697,1460720,00.asp
A good ripping tool is the “easy cd-da extractor” it rips in monkey ´n flac plus all the other known formats
Enjoy!
PZ. now there´s a 256kbps torrent with the covers in the net.
Roxrider_USA said on November 29, 2005 05:12:
@emilio: Thanks a lot for taking time to tell me about it. It’s pretty interesting. So, you mean that lossless formats are better due to the fact that no loss in quality occrus at all ?
Carlos E., New York.
RobS said on November 29, 2005 10:55:
Thanks for the links, i never knew about lossless audio files.
I’m still waiting on my SOAP disc to show up, so i’ve managed to get a hold of a few “teaser” tracks :-p
tevensso (moderator) said on November 29, 2005 10:59:
I know this is slightly off topic, but what mp3-players support lossless? Like iPod etc.?
emilio said on November 29, 2005 13:50:
yeah we’re off topic. Well, my Sandisk sansa e130 accept lossles wma but it’s only 512mb (without Sd card), so think each lossless file needs between 25/35 mb. I read somewere that the iPod is goin’ to accept a lossles in near future. In the flac web and in in microsoft are a cuople of links off compatible players... I think is a good choice but only in professional work i can hear any diference between a wma@192kbps and a wma@780kbps.. i think it’s becouse an excess of rox music jeje
Roxrider_USA said on November 29, 2005 15:24:
Thanks lots! So interesting. I’ll try to encode SOAP songs as flacc formatted files and see if my Creative Zen Micro accepts it, if not i’ll check out for any updates or fixes for it.
Well, in any case, I would be able to at least see if there is a significant quality gain when playing .flacc files using my laptop hooked up to the sound system here.
@emilio: Do you know any CD rippers that would rip CDs as a .flacc format ? Going to check Nero out to see if it could do it. Thanks lots.
Carlos E., New York.
Roxrider_USA said on November 29, 2005 16:11:
@emilio: No need to answer my question about a good ripping prgram. You answered it before I asked in your of your previous posts.
“
A good ripping tool is the “easy cd-da extractor” it rips in monkey ´n flac plus all the other known formats”.
Anyway, thanks for all the info and kindness.
Carlos E., New York.
emilio said on November 29, 2005 18:19:
the best player that plays flacc and other crazy format is this: http://www.cowonamerica.com/products/iaudio/x5/index.html
@roxrider, as far as i know the creative does not support flacc. try with WMA lossles is better than flac and the media player will do it easily, but if you use mac... i don’t know
Roxrider_USA said on November 29, 2005 18:39:
@emilio: Thanks a lot. OS is Windows. So it should work.
So, i should rip the files as WMA lossless format.
Going to try doing it now with any CD here and then i’ll let you know if i got it.
Take care!
Carlos E.,New York.
Roxrider_USA said on November 29, 2005 22:14:
@emilio: It worked!! And it’s really fast. It took me about 10 seconds to rip Better Off On Her Own.
Really great quality. Much better than the mp3 files. It sounds better than the 320 kbits/s files i have.
Now I’ll always rip the songs i like the most and always listen to as WMA Lossless. The ones i listen to less i’ll rip as 320 kbits/s mp3’s.
Thanks! :-) Waiting to rip SOAP using WMA Lossless format.
“I really like it, like
I like it like that”
Take care!

emilio said on November 30, 2005 15:49:
@roxrider, well i’ve been readin’ some webs and i found that some player won’t read wma lossless, my Sandisk sometimes read the file adn sometimes not, i don’t know why. But the solution is to ripp the files into a wma variable bit rate at max quality, this is between 250/350kbps or 320kbps in wma, and i’ve listen some files and it’s a lot better than a LAME MP· file at 320kbps...
Roxrider_USA said on December 1, 2005 01:47:
I just learned that the hard way. My Zen Micro won’t read any WMA files, only MP3 and WAV files.
Therefore, that’s what i do:
Ripped Lame MP3 @ 320 kbits/s CBR, Dual Channel, 48 kHz files for my Zen Micro mp3 player. Sounds almost perfect. Not perfect because it’s not Lossless.
AND
Ripped WMA 9.1 Lossless @ 1500-1860 kbits/s, Quality 100 VBR, 48 kHz, 2 Channel, 24 bit files for my laptop. Sounds really good. I guess it’s the closer to perfection it gets.
Again, thanks for all the help and info!!! :-)
Take care!
Carlos E., New York.
