(ID in the title stand for “intelligent design”, AKA “creationism”)
I wonder how a country like the USA forces some of its students to consider Science something that can not be proved Scientifically. That place is getting to the level of medieval Spain... IDiotic...
This is nice to read:

Yes, you’re right, but what I find of value of that article is the comparison with telling them about a flat Earth. So true! :P
Anyway, about their research “excellence”... maybe they’re very good, but it’s true also that it’s not just “their kids”, they pay way more than in Europe and that’s is why there’s a very important brain-drain in that direction, from all around the world (European scientists included).

I have an issue when you teach one not the other, yet you insist upon the “separation of Church and State” and so on down the line.
My opinion, both SHOULD be taught. They should be Advanced Courses for High School, or College Courses. They shouldn’t be put in a junior high / middle school because most kids there aren’t thinking along these lines.
However, because people (a minority right now) ARE demanding the separation of Church And State, you won’t see “creationism” or ID taught in public schools. That’s just my take.

ouch! nice article, however I think it is very very one-sided. and the last paragraph where he says that the scientific discovery in the US is their last bastion of success is not accurate either. there is a lot better research being done outside the US, and science in the US is now a business, rather than research, which I think is tragic.
