Texas - Can't Resist

Ok, first of all I thought Getaway was perhaps a fluke, after the flop of their last album. Such a sensational single. I just bought the new single Can’t Resist today - DVD & both singles, and all I can say is wow! The reviews of their forthcoming album, which are exceptional, appear to be true. Texas are back.....with a TOTAl vengeance. There’s just soooo much good music out now - Texas, Eurythmics, Kate Bush (AMAZING!), Madonna, Robbie, Alanis, Sheryl Crow........such a gr8 time 4 music!
Check out Texas’ new single tho......cracker!

I’ve only heard the 30 s clip, have to wait a few weeks until “Red Book” is released in Canada to hear it in full but it sounds pretty good to me. “Getaway” was fantastic, though!! I’m so glad they’re back, even Q gave the new album a good review!

Can’t resist is great, the same like Getaway, also my one of the best songs of 2005 :) And Red Book album is damn good! There’s no weak song on this album, it’s 12 songs that every of them would be single. I think you all will love it, If you haven’t listened it till now... I did already, I just couldn’t wait to hear new Texas :) One of the best things that Texas have done. The only one thing I miss in those new songs is guitar, it’s too less I think. But the rest is perfect, Texas in their best shape :)

I was wondering ... Did you all Texas fans liked the last album? Careful what you wish for?
I loved it but when I go through internet and read opinions most of the time people say that it was bad... And I don’t understand it, for me it was so powerful album, also very very good.

Do agree. The new single is excellent. What an autumn - great new tracks from Depeche Mode, Eurythmics (outstanding!) and Kate Bush.

@Kama - no, I wasn’t impressed with the last album @ all. Can’t listen to it, asides from I’ll See It Through - good to see them back on form here

So I can see that people really didn’t like CWYWF, than I’m “diffrent” in this case :)
But I can bet that you all won’t be dissapointed about Red Book :-)

@Kama: I’m with you... I loved “CWYWF” and thought it was right up there with “White on Blonde” (well... not quite that good (-: ). I even really liked “Carnival Girl”! The only songs I usually skip are “CWYWF” (which I don’t like very much) and “I’ll See It Through”... it’s not bad, just too slow to listen to very often. All in all, I think it’s a great mix of styles, a lot like “Have a Nice Day” was (but a very different kind of pop, of course!). I think that’s why fans dislike both albums so much... too many different styles, no cohesion. Personally, I don’t mind that.

Comparing CWYWF do HAND may be good one :)
I loved Carnival Girl! Great Song tough I didn’t like those hip hop( or rap I don’t know how to call it) parts... From this CWYWF album I only didn’t like Carousel Dub - what was it?? :-)
But the songs like Telephone X, Broken, And I Dream are fantastic! Specially Broken, reminds me old good Blondie :) And I’ll see it trough is the most beautiful song on the album, this that kind of song that Shar can only write and sing :)
the sentence : “you’re all I ever wanted, you’re all I ever needed” was following me through days long :)
