Like Ebay but free

I saw on TV a site where your unwanted stuff may be gold for somebody else, it is like Ebay but with the difference that things have to be free of charge. In other words you give something away which you don’t want (or can’t sell) for free. I have some stuff I’d like to list there but I can’t remember the name of the site. Anybody knows it?

Freecycle? They have things like that at a local level (so you just go and pick it up and nobody incurs shipping charges...). Never tried it but it seems like a really good idea!

The downside to the above you can only post it in the cities it lists and not as many people see it as sites like ebay.
