Covering Roxette

Just saw myself and my band playing She Doesn’t Live Here Anymore on the tv.
Well we also covered Going Under by Evanescene and played 2 of our own original tracks but mann was it great to play Roxette or what!? We received an overwhelming response from the people and they loved the song.
It’s a battle of the band kinda series they are running here on a tv channel so if we get to the semi-finals, we’ll have to perform again – competing against the winners of other episodes. Any suggestions? which other Roxette song should I cover this time? I am thinking..
Big L
June Afternoon
Almost Unreal (but it’s kinda slow)
I want to cover uptemp songs like SDLHA. Any suggestions people? We are expected to win and go to the semi-finals!!! Very exciting :)

I’d say Hotblooded would be nice. It’s got the punch, is fast, it’s great, it’s not superfamous. It’s a song that can let them spellbound.
Also “Sleeping in my car” if you use a milder guitar sound (just the sound, not the playing) can do very well. I always found so annoying that guitar sound :D
Then, Real Sugar can also be a great suggestion.
Have fun, and lycka till!

zeeshan said on September 23, 2005 00:53:
THAT’S THE PROBLEM ZAINE! THAT’S THE PROBLEM!!! I can’t call myself MISS! :s sheeshh
Santi said on September 23, 2005 21:01:
Euh, excuse me, maybe I didn’t get it right with that song, but isn’t it like a conversation????
- Can I call you home? Can I call??
- You can call me, miss...
If you feel “weird” saying “sisters o’soul...” you can change it by “siblings o’soul...”, has the same number of syllables and comes to mean the same.
roxcyn said on September 24, 2005 03:36:
Hahahaha, who cares about that?
You can call me miss
Think about Mister, Miss, Ma’am. In English that sentence has a double meaning:
1) miss (to miss, the verb)
2) Miss (the noun, a single female)
So you’d have to change the lyric completely :S
I would still say June Afternoon, very cute, a little pop but a little jamming. It is a nice mellow song.
