I can post a few comments here... I do appreciate the luvins.
Back in 2003, I got busted cuz I was a goof and didn’t get the registration done on my car and money was a bit tight on the insurance angle. I was an idiot and admit that one. I showed up to court and did my thing, getting fined and no jail time.
Flash forward to 2005, I get pulled over for no front plate on my car. I find out that day, that my license had been revoked and that there was a warrant out for me for a failure to appear on a traffic ticket (the one in 03). I thought I’d paid off all the fines on that, and was done. I don’t know what happened to be honest, much has happened during those two years.
This new ticket took place in a different township than the other one, so as far as this judge was concerned, it was my first appearance in front of him. My sentance went a little something like this:
Driving on Suspension (license): $750 and 90 days
Revoked Registration (what came up on the computer even though I had insurance on the car) $500 and 90 Days
$500 and 90 Days suspended on the DoS
$400 and 90 Days suspended on the Revoked Reg.
$350 in Fines total and a warning to keep my butt outta trouble for 12 months (forever if I have anything to say).
The warrant was $610 and paid that off to South Salt Lake and the warrant was revoked by 4pm Mountain Daylight Time August 1, 2005.
I also had to get fingerprinted, and I have to send $300 to this place for a packet (or class) to complete within 120 days. So, I’m actively job hunting as all of this has cost me about $1200 (cheaper than I thought).
I also got my license renewed at the Class B CDL status (I can drive vehicles up to a certain weight) and the passenger endoresment, so I can drive tour busses if I want.
Now, my step-dad is in jail because he’s behind on paying off the child support ($20,000). The only reason he got behind was he’d been ill for 3 years and so they got him on non-payment. He’d gone to court and got that set up so he could pay the payments a couple of years back. Well, last summer his job fired him and the same week, his dad fell breaking his leg in 2 places as well as his hip. My step-dad had been taking care of him at home but the State of Utah don’t give a shit about that (it’s a 24 / 7 job), and threw him in jail until sometime in October (he’s bucking for early release with good behaviour). After that, he’ll have 30 days to find a job and finish paying off the arrears.
All in all... I’ve been taking a few too many punches to the head lately with everything. I, myself, am outta trouble for now. I just have to find a job, but I’ve got some options open to me with the reinstatement of my license. I’m just worried that my step-dad’s father isn’t going to be alive when he gets out of jail... he’s diabetic and has Crohns Disease (information found here:http://digestive.niddk.nih.gov/ddiseases/pubs/crohns/) and he’s just not a well man.
Honestly, if anyone has any other questions, I will answer them with no troubles.
