Rap sucks a mop. One indicator of the quality of music is how many other artists record/perform the original song. (Look at the recent remakes of Roxette songs.) I don’t think anyone in the universe has ever re-recorded any rap so-called artists’s so-called song.

But I really DISLIKE Hip Hop, R&B, Reggea, Jazz, bad popmusic (Boybands, Britney Spears, Modern Talking...), ...! And I also dislike Björk, Jennyifer Lopez and Christina Aguilera (whatever this kind of music is called) and Mariah Carey. She has a good voice and she has recorded some good songs in the past like “Without you” but nowadays she really wastes her voice on crappy songs!
Techno is okay in discos but I wouldn’t buy an album or a single with techno tracks on it!

Furthermore, classical music, Turkish music, Asian music, all the music that comes from the Middle-East etc....most of the time that sounds false (maybe it’s because they have some difference in notes)

The only music which really iritates me is the crap which is in the UK charts at the moment. All these manufactured bands which have a life span of 2 singles (if they’re lucky). They don’t have any meaning to the words, the singers just want to be rich and famous and people get bored of them so quickly. We had a concert here on Guernsey on Saturday which featured 7 acts, a lot of them new people like DV8 (Who??), and The Faders (who were actually quite good). The Headliners were Liberty X. I’ve never seen anyone look so bored performing to people as Kevin from Lib X did. He clearly didn’t want to be here, and he made the band look useless. A lot of people made comments about it on the day.
Anyway, I’m getting off the subject! So I don’t like manufactured pop stuff. Also classical music is not really my scene.

dance music (dancefloor is its proper place, nowhere else i couldn’t stand it)

stupid commercial pop (like boysbands, girlsbands, Britney...)
jazz (in most cases)
About Mariah. At least she’s got a voice. But its a classic example how lack of good songs can ruine all. Personally i don’t like neither her voice (it irritates me so much! grrrrr) nor her songs at all.

There’s a couple of replies which say that we don’t need these artists that the people don’t like. But, what music do we really need? Don’t flame me, but I don’t think the world would stop if there was never another Rox/Per/Marie album. We all love some kind music, but we don’t “need” any.

i have to confess i nearly put black music, But its all changed now. very more mixed , black people are doing more pop aswell now so its hard to pin point .Then you have ememeie or what ever he calls him self, I dont mind some R&B , i was and love the music of the female Group ’ETERNAL’ when they were around. Like somethings that has a nice melody and chorus.
PLUS what the chuff are all these rap artists getting to number 1 after just coming out af jail or are on there way ? ! talk about paying time there all rick now , how ! very bad role models.

In UK they have awards called MOBO’s and for years its called that ’Music of Black origin’ ya dont get pop/ rock on that 2 guesses what music it is lol ? Is that racist umm well some may say yes other no.

As I already said Eminem is a sort of exception in the HIP HOP-scene. I think it’s not right and quite unfair to allege that LaMan is a racist just because he doesn’t like the music styles which is mainly represented by blacks! He didn’t say that he doesn’t like the people. He just mentioned that he doesn’t like the music! You have to be a bit carefully with your accusations!
Moreover take into consideration that English isn’t his native language! Maybe he doesn’t have the words to express his opinion in a 100% political correct way like native speaker can!
